Yep feveredbrains, that's about as close as you ever come to getting it correct....
Dig Ducky as a UF player DB/QB 1951-53
1951 - 5-5
1952 - 8-3
1053 - 3-5-2
UF Career - 16-13-2, for a .516 winning percentage)
The iG didn't want tennis-sea Dig-Ducky hired to begin with.
As tennis-sea's HC 46–15–4 (.738)
Then as UF's HC -- 58–43–2 (.573)
And they gave that loser almost a whole decade before finally running him outta town.
He then returned to tennis-sea as their AD.
No personal hate for the ole Ducky, I just didn't like him as UF's HC.
The one good thing he did while UF's HC, was give Steve his first coaching job.
Yep, I was there for Pell's O-10-1 season, and for many losing seasons before then....
I was happy when
NR UF got to go to the Bluebonnet Bowl in 1982 vs
#14 Ark.
Even though it ended UF 24 - 28 Ark with the pigs getting a come-back win.
Just like I was at the Bowl loss to Mizzou when SOS was our QB. (UF 18 - 20 Mizz)
Those years just made it all the better in 1996 with an SEC-C and a NC.
That has been the only season in which I was able to attend every Gator home game.
An SEC-C +15 win over the Red Turds, and then a +32 NC win over the FSUcks criminoles.
The ONLY Heisman winner to ever coach another Heisman winner.
Pretty Sweet for us old long time
(wait-til-next-year) Gator fans...
Through all of that, I've never lost sight of the lack of importance boys games are in the real world.
So you'll have to excuse me if the '
new & not improved Socialist-U' has had some off-seasons lately.
Karma can be a real BITCH at times....
