We’re Number 12!!!!!!!!!!

Do you want to do some comparisons on how long until the pressure on the QB was there? Now some plays were because they can buy time a lot easier than Mertz when quickly pressured but they were still pressured pretty fast in many games. We can do that with the offensive plays only clips.

We need more attemps like this even if the DB was turned around to give the receivers a chance downfield. Playing it safe like last year will have bad results again just like 2023 imo.

Good lord, apparently you don't understand how this stat is tracked (by people paid to track not amateur nit wits). It is timed by how long until the pocket breaks down...scrambling by the QB has nothing to do with how this stat is timed. And Florida was one of the worst in the league. Has nothing to do with mobility of qb. Again, our Oline was awful, giving Mertz very little time, being gun shy coupled with Napier offensive design caused majority of short throws. Now, tell me how improved will our Oline be and how improved will our defense be? Those are more critical to our success vs Mertz.

lol You can eyeball it and tell how quick the QB was pressured. I saw quite a few games Dart and Daniels were put on the move right away by guys coming through not blocked well or from blitzes. The difference is unlike Mertz doing constant checkdowns they put the ball down the field many times attempting to get first down yardage. Totally different play. Mertz mostly played like the object of the game was to not throw an incompletion at all costs. Besides a ton of short passes short of the yardage needed with no chance for the receiver to run for it after the catch he would even sprint long distances to go out of bounds for basically no gain instead of throwing the ball away and not wasting energy. Never saw anything like that over a whole season from a QB here before. Napier is probably in his ear too much about not making a bad play that could result in a turnover.
