We are in trouble. If they are holding Fournette to under 10 yards they may hold our offense to under 50

We don't match up well with Bama. Their dline will eat our oline for lunch. We will need a +3 TO margin in that game to have a chance.

And the clinic they're putting on Fournette. Never would have bet that in a million years.
They have the best front 7 in the country again't the run. You have to get their LBs to try and cover guys. Bama is built for this type of game. They aren't built to stop spread offenses.

Uh yea you guys didn't already know that? LMAO. I thought I was going crazy when people were saying they'd prefer LSU or Bama in the SEC title game. LSU's lines manhandled us the first time around and Bama would do the same thing but on another level. Neither team is that great and have plenty of holes, but we don't have the pieces to exploit their weaknesses. Styles make fights and we don't match up with them because their biggest strengths are our biggest weaknesses.

100% right. The same reason they shut down these traditional offenses is the same reason they can't defend spread offenses. Bama tries to bully you and because they 2-gap their front 7 is huge. They typically play three 300 pounders on the d-line and then have really big linebackers in the 240 lb. range. They can play downhill but they can't play in space or cover.

Bama is much better than LSU on defense. Coker is just an average QB but he's quite a bit better than Harris.

Ragland is a 250+ lb LBer

Yep! You aren't gonna beat them at their style of game. Teams who line up in power formations and think they're gonna pound Bama is just stupid. It's exactly how they want you to play.

I knew Bama had the horses to contain Fournette, but didn't think they would completely shut him down.

you guys are giving bama too much credit, every LSU bama game has been the same for half a decade now... LSU was never anything special, that's why our awful QB was throwing all over them and it took fake FG's and arm punts to do us in...LSU has an embarrassing game plan against them each time and keep trying it because they are the new ohio state, they get used to out talenting people and richt I mean miles loses to any and EVERY team he faces with anything even CLOSE to equal talent.

Dude...Alabama looked like superheroes last night. We could hardly move the ball 20 yrs vs. Vandy. Not saying we can't compete with them, but to in any way suggest that they are not every bit as good as they looked last night is not being honestly objective.

This is our turn around year, I didn't expect us to come this far this fast, so everything from here on out is gravy. We now know why Bama was picked 4 by the committee, and we will see exactly where we really are when we play them.

Been a great unexpected ride so far that's for sure. But we have 3 losable games left (noles, Bama, and we'll be facing a very good bowl opponent, and not including So Car but we need to be careful with that one) and it would be such a debbie downer if we lose all 3 of them. Regardless, Mac has us on the way up and at the end of the day/season, can't be anything but happy about this year.

I'll judge Bama after they face Mississippi State.

See how they do against a QB with legs, arm, and brains.

Like numbers said, LSU has came in with the same plan for a good while now and it hasn't worked out.

I said in another thread Les Miles is Mark Richt of the west.

Styles make fights. Bama does that to every offense that tries to line up and play power football against them, they're not as good as they looked last night. It's not difficult to stop a one dimensional team with no QB, which is what LSU is. Don't take too much from this game.

How bout judge them for completely shutting down Fournette.
Why? It that twhe tail tale tell of being superior to the football world. I am not doubting Bama as being great or Fournette as being the best in the NCAA.

I am saying Bama is not invincible because they stopped a great player.

Bama's biggest threat (since Tebow and Meyer left) in keeping SEC supremacy has mostly been LSU. Bama is built to stop an LSU type team. Bama has shown vulnerability to losing to quick spread type teams over the years. Ohio State, Ole Miss, and Auburn when they are on point.

As I've stated if Bama shuts down a multi dimensional QB then I will judge.

It was already known Bama will out power LSU by the way they handled UGA with ease.

Hope so.....I would not mind that at all.....along with Ole Miss winning out to get to SECCG. Still think that is most favorable matchup.

With everyone thinking Bama can play with the Packers again... Vegas line at Miss State is 7, sucker line that everyone will fall into boys.
