Vanderbilt @ Florida

And pink panty defense on the defensive end ends the game.

Wow, NIT for this squad... Mike White, congrats. You just coached the most talented team in the history of D1 basketball that winded up in the NIT. Congrats!!!!

HUMILIATED on your home court by the worst defensive team in the SEC and one of the worst ROAD teams in the entire nation.

Enjoy the NIT, little girls. You earned it.

LOL at the people acting like Mike White belonged here. Just lost at home to a team with 1 millionth his talent.

you could bet your life anytime Florida is down at the end of the game they have zero chance of scoring, and the exact opposite if we are up.

Absolutely nothing about the game surprised me, we are the exact opposite with ref treatment AT HOME of Bama and kentucky. We get treated like a scrub squad no matter who we play

It's always a one day only clutch show against Florida for teams literally no matter how bad they are, that one day is gonna be their best day when it matters.

That one is on mike white. All vandy can do is shoot the 3 and for some reason we decided not to guard the 3 point line. Bad loss that sends us to the bubble.

we have zero quality wins, we aren't on the bubble, we are out.

Committee is not kind to SEC teams who have very soft schedules due to playing in the SEC

We suck in basketball just like football I guess. This Vandy team is trash and we can't beat them at home coming off a loss?

A win over freaking Seton Hall damn sure isn't getting us in the tourney.

Lol it's ****ing January.

You basketball folks are weird.

I mean, your point would be valid, if we were improving. We are getting worse.

Almost lost to terrible Mississippi at home
Almost lost to terrible Tennessee at home
Almost lost to terrible Georgia at home
Did lose to USC with an ugly effort
Just lost at home to a god awful Vanderbilt team

We have lots of road games coming up and can't even hold serve vs bad teams at home, and you're confident. We're getting worse.

This was a terrible loss, not from an RPI perspective, but for the reasons mentioned above.

That RPI stuff will take care of itself pretty soon with some of the teams coming up. If we lose @ Oklahoma I think we don't get a KY win and probably get left out of the tourney even if we go 11-7 in the SEC. Having Seton Hall as the big win is a joke.

Has Florida ever tried to tie a game and not fire up an awful three in a decade at the end of a game? and none of them have ever gone in, we have the same issues in all sports that never go away no matter who the coaches or players are.. and the refs in every sport, it's a Florida thing.

I wonder if Insta will be by soon to tell us how Coach White should be in the running for coach of the year after our offense once again showed it is just a clusterf*ck. We just lost at home to a team that is terrible and we were coming off a loss at that.

once we start bad in anything it just stays that way, at least 6 times you got 4 guys to their one that can't grab a ball. We have the most inept guys at doing simple things in everything somehow, do whatever it takes to lose. Just about any other team would have found a way to escape at home no matter how bad they played, two games in a row do exactly what it takes to lose the game. Florida is the worst in close games that's just never changed

even if they make the tournament you see exactly what will happen since every game will be close in that... seniors bricking ft's and doing everything stupid when it matters with zero point guard play. Has chiozza even scored in like the last 3 games at all? I literally haven't even noticed him on the floor until i realized how long it's been since he scored today

Terrible loss. Egubuna has brick hands and his miss at the front end of a 1 & 1 hurt us as much as Hill missing his 2nd one. They stayed in the full court press way too long after Vandy figured it out and started getting to the rim or getting our defense out of position for wide open shots. Our inside game is horrible and we can't shoot from the outside. Too many stupid turnovers, too much standing around on offense. No way this group should have lost AT HOME to that Vanderbilt team. Pitiful.

Here's a little research project for those that think that they know something.

When UF played the #1 defense in the nation, how many fouls were called?

When UF played the best 3Pt shooting team in the SEC, how many fouls were called?

Instead of scouting the opposing team, White should be scouting which group of totally incompetent and/or corrupt/biased officials that the chitty home office of the Bama-based SEC is sticking it to UF with in the games.....

Boned yet again....

Crummy loss, but Geez Louise folks. What do you expect? This team isn't the Globetrotters. They are a bit scrubbish, and they have been in every game...even the losses. Ok, they are slumping, but like Danny said, it is January. They'll figure it out. Just need to keeping grinding.

Not much respect for 14 tough wins, with a dozen of them on the road.
Plus it's 'The Sky is Falling' madness with the 5 losses....

It's never as good as it might be, and it's never as bad as it could be.... o_O

It might be a good time to just sit back and take a few deep breaths.

They are just as bad as they are good, it's been the same for a few years now...

Just like Mc is doing, White is improving his roster, one class at a time. Keep in mind that BillyD didn't even have a winning season until his 3rd year.

well the program is a little different now, like after Spurrier left.

In my experience and imo, the program changes somewhat from year to year, even with the same coach. I'm just glad that the turnover in assistant coaches has dropped to a reasonable crawl. Mc only needs to replace 1-2 this time around. Having Shannon there and ready to step up to DC was good forward planning on Mc's part.

Getting a very good (and preferably younger) OL coach is very important going forward. That will probably be his first order of business after NSD. The rest of the staff still looks pretty solid to me.

he's apparently already got his OL coach set and is telling the recruits who it is

Any hints on the who? I've seen several names as possibilities, but nothing more?
