I mailed a check to the U. S. Treasury April 13. It cleared my bank today. What gives? This kind of delay is a first for me.

I didn't mail them a check on the scheduled June 15. I waited till July 6 because of the July 15 virus delay date. It hasn't cleared yet.

Strange stuff going on.

Due to social distancing Agnes is manning the mail room by herself. While she performs her duty without flaw she is still an old school gubmint employee. Snails are faster and she takes a 15 min break on the hr every hr.

My July 6 check has not cleared my bank. Talked to son-in-law this AM. His June 15 check to the Treasury has not cleared. His Fed buddy tells him IRS is all tied up with sending out and receiving returned stimulus checks.

Our next checks to the Treasury are due Sept. 15.
