How do you all see this one playing out?

I assume it's not too early to discuss as all your other games up to that point will be nothing burgers and this is likely front and center of Mac's radar already.

we have to beat them this year, this staff has to for their own sake and to continue the recruiting path they have started this off season...

What sad said.

But too early to tell.

A better question FSU fans need to ask is this; what woeful ACC team will FSU lose to this year?

it's always NC State then the many narrowly escaped gifts the other teams give to make sure they lose anyway in the end like NCSU last year, BC and Virginias of the world...

Chalk up another win for The Noles. How many in a row is it now? :p

In all seriousness, that game is a long way from now. Lots of things can happen (injuries...).
I still think we have too much for you this year. Unless the wheels fall off, our defense is loaded with really good depth. Offensively, if our OL can just improve somewhat over last year we should be fine. WR depth is a problem, but we can move one of our TEs over.

Fsu clearly has the advantage right now. Depending on how the gator qb sitaution plays out will determine if they get can push past us. Right now i see a 27-17 win for FSU. Thats right now. However there is so much that can happen and we dont really know how their qb situation will play out. I will say this, this should be fsu's best team since 2013. Its unfortunate that uf is growing at the same time becuz i think they will have to get a lot better this yr to win.

After today's news, it might be 2 TE's.

Being honest. We have 2 good TE's so that might have to be an option. We still have 4 guys who can play at a high lvl but if 1 or 2 of them gets gurt. I dont see any way we dont use 2 TE sets or use Derwin on offense as well

yea i don't know what we will do without all those unbeaten seasons with top SOS's winning the NC multiple times..

U lost to Ole Miss with ur best team ever. I jus love when people say, the noles lose to an acc team every yr, when is the last time u didnt lose to an sec team? Happens every yr

How many teams in the SEC win it all going undefeated? The last time was creeping up on about a decade ago.

I also love how people dismiss Ole Miss like they were some bum squad that year too. They ended up bitch making the Texas Tech team everyone fell in love with in the "title picture" after being Texas... by like 4 scores in the Cotton Bowl with a top ten finish

Going undefeated being a thing, for ACC fanbases, makes it pointless. Going unbeaten in 99 and 13 for FSU,doesn't make anyone think they were perfect, or would beat any of the 1 and even TWO loss SEC teams.

Clemson lost a game last year, TRASH.

LOL wut? 2013 FSU beat 1 loss SEC Champ Auburn. '99 UF was 9-1 and ranked #3 when FSU played them in the season finale.

I forgot only FSU fans are giving Auburn credit for being good that year, like all the rest of jimbos "SEC VICTORIES".

And that 99 team QB'd by doug johnson and palmer rotating, I'll never forget when the offense was so bad in a stretch in the 2nd half of the season, Steve gave a game ball to a punter and asked another assistant "Am i just not coaching as hard this year".. That team was decent, and lost to Dubose, twice. Also the first and probably only 3 game losing streak to end a season Spurrier ever had. They lost to the Interim replacement for Saban at MSU in the bowl game

Going undefeated only has creed, when you actually ****ing beat a ton of good teams. Again, there's a reason why the SEC teams only had one in all that stretch, while slingin everyone elses teams around on the big stage.

Then pounded that mighty SEC team(which no SEC team can seem to do). Im shocked that the mighty SEC has allowed one team to dominate them for the last 6 or 7 yrs. The SEC was really good for 5-6 yrs but they were gifted chance after chance at being in the title game because of that perception. There was a study done that showed the bias. SEC teams were ranked high to start the year, so when they played it each other, it was 7 vs 4, the number 4 team got pounded and moved back to 8 because they lost to the number 7 team. Stupid. Sec teams dropped an avg of 5 spots when they lost where every other conf dropped 8 or 9, money

SEC has turned into Alabama and a bunch of also rans and has beens. This is a huge year to change that perception.

The 1999 wire to wire # 1 Noles only beat the # 2, #10, # 19, #20 and # 4 UF in Gville. UF had one loss going into the game... a 1 pt ot loss to Bama. But yeah, Noles played nobody.

Yep. There are definitely some big opportunities early in the year for SEC teams to make a statement. Florida-Michigan, Georgia-Notre Dame, Auburn-Clemson.

What I said was UF was not nearly as good as their ranking at the time they played that year.

if FSU can beat Bama then they can waive the SEC trump card, since you yourselves are saying they are the only team in the SEC.. While propping up the other victories mostly over Champ at the same time with driskel and treon, and even one against morningwheg...

Which is it

Well any game u beat us we sucked too. U have nvr gotten one good win over us. Lol u were in the SECCG the last 2 yrs and say sec has the best conference and now ur saying ur no good. Which is it

I don't think you will find anyone touting the East part of the conference as top dogs over the last 5 years.

I've been watching long enough to remember 99 very well, it was one of our worst years in that stretch of Spurrier dominating on offense. That team was just not very good, FSU went wire to wire and played the Big East team in the Championship with vick.

Yall tell me then, when was the last good Florida team you beat? The last decent team we had we beat you up pretty good in Tally by 4 scores.

No it really hasn't no matter how much y'all want that to be true. The SEC is one year removed from setting a bowl wins record. Doesn't jive with your perception at all.

It's funny how we hear "the SEC is just Bama!" despite 4 different SEC schools winning titles in the last decade. Meanwhile the ACC is suddenly the best conference and only Clemson and FSU have ever done a damn thing. Hypocrite much?

Losing to two ACC programs in a row might change the chatter unbearably for the ACC somehow being better than the SEC.

don't worry, you guys time is coming, it's only about 20 something odd days away...

I wouldn't include Bama-FSU in the "SEC making a statement" category. If FSU beats Bama it doesn't take anything away from Bama. Everyone knows they're the top program until Saban retires. Losing one game won't change that.

Agree. They had to play two of the top five programs in the country in back-to-back games. They are the only team in the SEC who has been consistently elite the past five years. I'm sure they are tired of carrying the whole conference on their back.

works out for their base, no matter how bad or good they are, they only think they exist anyway.. Even at 3-9... believe me

There hasn't been a legitimate national championship contender other than Alabama since LSU in 2011. People are noticing that. Cowherd talked about it a couple days ago. He asked the guest for the second best sec team and they guessed LSU but don't see them as anything special.

The All Time W/L is with the Gators. :p

The only game that really ever mattered was UF 52 - 20 FSUcks.

So that was a hollow win against Auburn in 2013?

Auburn 2013.

And that's a hollow point anyway because it's not as if other conferences are rolling out 2-3 contenders a year. It's been Ohio St. in the Big 10, OU in the Big 12, and until recently Oregon in the PAC 12. FSU and Clemson have been contenders at different times in the ACC but never at the same time. So what exactly is the point? The fact that y'all constantly nitpick and compare other conferences to the SEC is proof enough who stands where.
