Signing day is a couple of weeks away and I'm sure we'll get some ladies from the portal. We have 3 solid commits for the 2025 class, but none that I can find for 2024. We signed 8 for this year's class, plus picked up some via transfer, so have an oversized roster right now. In addition to the 2 for 2025 shown in this link, we also have a commitment from Victoria Madison in the 2025 class.

Mary Wise is snakebit. The talent was there at the beginning for a national title run and we were on our way to upsetting #1 Wisconsin and taking over the #1 spot when our Setter went down. They we lost our freshman star outside hitter and now an experienced front court player. Just too much to overcome. Yet they're still playing hard and together and giving it their all.

Kennedy Martin recorded her second-consecutive 25+ kill game, finishing with 27.

UF Volleyball drops another match. This team is going to end up with the worst record in Mary Wise's 33 year career at Florida. They were close to beating Wisconsin and moving to #1 in the ranking when AA setter Alexis Stuckey tore up her knee. Then superstar freshman Kira Hutson was lost to a season-ending shoulder injury. Then Grad Transfer frontline star Anna Dixon went out with another season-ending injury. Just too much for this great group of young women to overcome. Now they may drop out of the Top 25. Incredible bad luck for a great coach and excellent program.

A rough patch for sure.
 
UF Volleyball played down to the level of Alabama (15-21, 0-15), but swept them 3-0 for the 2nd time this season. Gators have beaten Alabama 52 straight matches in volleyball, haven't lost to them since 1978 and haven't even lost a set in 15 years. But Bama make it competitive. UF, in spite of losing 3 key players to season-ending injuries, are ranked 14th in RPI and will be a tough out in the first couple of rounds of the NCAA tournament.
