Last night we received these photos from a reader in California. They appear to show hundreds of alleged unopened ballots in a garbage dumpster in California. We are working to verify.

Every poll taken out there shows the military as the most trusted entity of the federal government. That trust is sacred and the military doesn’t take it lightly. It is important that the people of the United States trust that no matter who is in power their military will follow the orders of the elected official(s) so long as those orders are legal. It’s why there are laws against military members wearing their uniform and participating in protest or speaking on behalf of themselves AS military members. And when they are caught doing these things they are punished.

Trust is a two way street though. I would argue it is more important for civilians to trust their military, but there is a responsibility the civilians have in ensuring that military members rights are not infringed upon. Those that wear the uniform have voluntarily given up certain rights (i.e. freedom of speech, as described above) and when the citizenry does things like this the relationship can be strained. Strained relationships between groups of people cause tribalism. Tribalism between groups when one has the responsibility to protect the other is dangerous.

Stuff like this may seem small and minuscule to some at the moment. But if more cases like this are found to have happened or do happen in the future that strained relationship between the military and the citizens of the 1960s could be right back on our doorstep before we know it. Those responsible for this need to be publicly prosecuted and to the fullest extent of the law if found to be intentional. I do not use the word sacred lightly.
