“But it is a great vaccine. It is a safe vaccine, and it is something that works.”

Trump and former first lady Melania Trump received COVID-19 vaccines before they left the White House in January, Fox News previously reported”

Doc is trying so hard today. A bit emotional it would seem. Maybe 4th time will be the charm?

But this pissing contest is better than reading Sikes and Swamp Thing critic our recruiting efforts. I don't know if you've noticed but those gentlemen seem to think that Mullens' recruiting sucks. I bet they would be a lot of fun to watch a Gator game with.

As he should...
Indeed. His greatest accomplishments include the economy, the rise in real wages and the vaccine. It was developed, literally at warp speed and has proven incredibly effective.

Why Ghost and others have such a strong anti-vaccine view is curious at best. (Kalim - you can pick the most appropriate obverse)

I will say, I find it odd/weird that the same people who brags about warp speed, is some of the same people who is scared/worried about getting the vaccine because it's too fast. Confusing right?

Let's try an analogy.

I appreciate new technology. When _____ is invented, I'm pretty excited about it.

OTOH, I'm always careful to make sure that I'm not one of the first people to buy it. I wait until the bugs are worked out. Make sense?

Have you ever heard the expression "first year, worst year" referring to a new model design for a vehicle?

They just totally redesigned the Toyota Tundra? Awesome, can't wait to buy one......next year.

I get that, that's why I didn't/don't buy game systems right away. At the same time, medicine is different. I just get the, let's find a way to give Trump credit for something.

Think about this, people on here, OAN, Fox, Newsmax will talk about the vaccine problems, YET not any of them blame Trump or put any blame on WARP Speed.

If you're going to take credit for the success, you have to take credit for that failures or dangers, right?

You truly do take the cake for analogies that do not add up. No one is saying the vaccine is a failure. What they are saying is....Great job getting it done quickly. All good. Now, I will wait and make sure it is safe. Try too hard.

I wonder....what will you say to those of us....if in 2 years this vax is found to have serious health consequences? I won't say, I told you so....I will just say, this is why I waited.

Do me a favor...What are the odds of someone catching covid and dying. Now, what are the odds of the vax having a serious health impact at some point. I have a feeling you won't be able to post those odds, at least on the latter.

Also....a topic Doc Mcstuffin still hasn't wanted to address. Has our Government ever told us any other vaccines were safe, only to find out later they weren't, and had serious health impacts. Hint: Gulf War Syndrome

I find it odd/weird that the same folks who are ok with my body my choice to kill unborn babies....aren't ok with my body my choice for vaccines.

Would you blame Trump in 2 years if that happened for rushing it to market?

I'm a man of science and I believe in science ability to create safe vaccines. That is literally what I do for a living. So you're asking the wrong person. I could care less about odds and percentage.

no. Why should I?

You believe in the Anthrax vaccine?

There is a lot of hypocrisy around abortion. At the same time, I never criticized you for not getting it and never will.

Hence my comment about only giving him credit and blame. If the vaccine is perfect, thanks former President Trump! If it's bad, you suck Pfizer/Moderna!. That's a win/win for Donald.

Well of course, and it’s logical. You see, he didn’t engineer the vaccine, he just put in a system for helping get it done quicker. It’s really not difficult to understand really.

Agreed. It's absolutely baffling to me. It's arguably Trump's (Alex Azar, head of HHS) signature accomplishment.

The results are incredible. We are barely at 50% vaccination, and cases, hospitalizations and deaths are dropping like a rock. NY had a positivity rate of under 1%.

Oh you know me man, I’m just killing time and having fun, so to speak
Speaking of having fun......well this isn't funny, but it's anecdotal truth.
My wife has had neck spasms going on a year. The orthepedic group she was going to finally sent her to a neurologist. Everything they tested her for kept coming back negative. She got sick of it and went on an internet tear and diagnosed her own condition correctly. Cervical dystonia, which is rare and a sad thing. Now she finally got sent to the right specialist, and hopefully botox injections will ease her suffering.:(

Why would a sane person choose an experimental treatment for something they don't have, don't believe they will contract, and like the odds even if afflicted?????
What we don't know is how these vaccines will affect our immune systems in the future. Would you like to write insurance on this and guarantee us us something in writing contractually? 🤣

Unlike yourself and Biden, some of us don't walk lockstep with all things Trump. Why is that so difficult to understand? With Trump, the downside is an anthill. With Hiden, it's Mount Everest.

You know before even got halfway down I said sounds like cervical dystonia and she probably needs Botox 🤣🤣🤣

It's sad that she got the run around for months, and now she's about to go insane with the spasms. To make it worse, she finally gets it confirmed, and has to wait two more weeks to get scheduled in for the injection.

My view on Abortion (I am pro-choice) is that it should be left to the states and individuals. If Alabama wants to be pro-life and Michigan pro-choice

I think this contextualization is really important and puts the framing in a very reasonable light. If the consistent dialogue was:

1. Amazing that the Vaccine was produced this quickly
2. The Vaccine has had a profoundly positive impact so far (cases, hospitalizations, deaths, ability to re-open, reduced need for additional Covid-19 spending, etc.)
3. Trump deserve direct credit for it's success
4. but...there is a subset of the population who is hesitant to take it as the normal protocols were not able to be followed. When it gets full authorization (which likely won't be until November as there is a six month path), we will be happy to take it.

If that is the narrative, that is understandable. I would encourage those, if you fall into that camp, to repeat the above. Otherwise, it just comes off as a position that is obstructive and holds the country back from getting to full normal.

Finally, and as I said on another thread (or the above), if you are going to take the risk in not getting Vaccinated, then you, and not your fellow policyholders or taxpayers, pay for any and all costs if you get seen, hospitalized or require extensive medical treatment.

If you take the risk, then you bear the responsibility.

Unfortunately, we don't know how any of these vaccines (MMR, etc.) will impact us in the future both directly or combined with environmental factors and changes. We do know that these Vaccines, now, save lives and save our economy.

If you want to pass on the Vaccine, that is your ultimately call - but as I said before, you, and not the taxpayer or your co-policy holder, should not have to pay for your decision. You take the risks; you bear the responsibility.

If your comment is that you want to wait until there is full approval and gets out of the EUA stage, that is more understandable.

For me and my family, we all chose to be vaccinated. Again, our choice.

On the “you pay for it” issue. You feel the same way if the negative consequences come from taking the vax before full approval? I mean, they made the choice, they pay right

And you expect your insurance company to bail you out because you made a choice when at some point your immune system fails or develop other complications? Morgan and Morgan make millions off of people like you. 🤣

I wasn't aware Trump was involved in the actual scientific development of the vaccines.

Do you normally get your health care advice from politicians?

Just see hypocrisy. Nobody is saying to be a seal. Just that you have be able to criticize, if you want to praise.

Have you seen me praise Trump for pushing the vaccine? I really don't care if he is. He's not making a soul do it, unlike some in this administration with their proposed vaccine card requirements and covid passports for travel. You see, there IS a difference.

I didnt say that you were, but others is. I didn't mention you at all, getting so defensive is weird lol....When did they purpose vaccine cards or covid passports?
