The SEC has rigged bowl match ups?

Every time I turn around, I see an SEC team playing a significantly lower ranked team from another conference. Is this perception reality? How have they done this?

We need some numbers to verify if the SEC was higher ranked in all these bowls. I know UF and Barn were not ranked as high as their opponents. Nor will Bama be v Clemson

I live in Texas, and someone was making that argument to me today based on record. I argued that it isn't a fair comparison because the SEC wins more games anyway.
