Treon Harris and Jalen Tabor suspended for Florida's game against Tennessee Volunteers

McElwain says that he's not angry about it, but I sure the hell am!

QB Treon Harris and CB Jalen Tabor have been suspended for the Tenn game. Neither are 1st time offenders. As much talent as they have, they have little to no character in them. One more time and I'd boot them both off the team, before their SELFISHNESS can do any more damage to the program. o_O

I'm sick of their 'ENTITLEMENT' attitudes, and I don't want to hear any of the usual 'enabling - kids will be kids' excuses for them.

Their own continuing poor choices should have definite consequences, not just more weak/lame excuses.

That's just it. Coach Mac is reinforcing that there are consequences for bad choices from UF. He can't help they decided to make those choices. he can make it a team building learning experience.

"Coach Mac is reinforcing that there are consequences"

By saying that he's not even angry at them, after BLOWING UP on the sidelines at Kelvin for his way less selfish actions? WTH???

Seems to me that it's not only the young-inexperienced OL that needs to find some consistency....

JMO. Hey if you want to make choices off the field that have a negative impact on the team aspect of this program, that's fine. I'm sure he has been over it with them on what he expects. Do something stupid on the field that can impact a win get in their ass about it.

We all have a right to our own opinions, nothing wrong with that.

'Both hurts the 'team,' but one of them hurts both the 'team' and the 'program as a whole.' I find that what Harris and Tabor have done to be at least twice as bad as Kelvin's 15 yard penalty on the next kickoff.

Tabor's twitter bs is enough for me to give him another game suspension.

If you insist on being a jerk, then go to some jerk-off school where you'll fit in.
CB Janoris Jenkins lost millions in the NFL draft for his jerk actions, join him if you want to,,, that's another individual decision.... o_O

I really don't see either of these guys ever waking up, so my own individual opinion is that the sooner they are gone from here, the better. JMOHO of course....

After Harris's suspension last year, I asked if anyone wanted to trust him to be the team leader at QB, when at any time he might do something to get suspended?

Well, IF he was this weeks starter for Tennessee, you'd have your devastating answer to my pointed question. o_O I sincerely hope to NEVER see him as the Gator's starting QB, ever again. (he should have stayed with his FSU commit)

Thank gawd that we have a deep and talented secondary, but jus-damn!

I agree 100%, with any kid at any school. These are not their first offenses and they have been given enough free passes. I read that Tabor actually refused to take the drug test. The only thing that I get more dumbfounded over is the kids who test positive at the combine, with their careers weighing in the balance as they know exactly when and where they are going to be tested, yet they still use drugs and fail the test.

How do you know other players didn't have marijuana in their system? People have this flawed view that every member of the team is tested for drugs, that is not how they administer the test. So them being positive doesn't mean they were out toking up while other members of the team stayed clean. All it means is that of those few who were selected, those two got popped. If they tested another grouping, I'm sure more players would come up positive too. You'd be pretty naive to believe two players on the entire team smoke. And given marijuana stays in your system for a while, it doesn't even confirm that they were smoking recently. You're reading way too much into a simple drug test.

If more are breaking their COMMITMENT CONTRACT, then I hope that they are also caught and suspended. If they are caught 3 times, I hope that they are dismissed from the team. At 18 you are an adult, not a HS kid. Either live up to your word and the contract, or take your selfish show elsewhere. o_O

IF they want to smoke dope and party with the general population, then let them get entrance into UF the normal way. Then I won't G-a-S what they do. As it is, these clowns would never be allowed in on anything but their athletic talent, which comes with a CONTRACT. Follow it and keep your word or get out, making room for someone that will.

The enablers should just STHU for a change, but then, that's JMOHO.... ;)

An 'ENTITLED' 18 to 22 year old athlete is 'just a kid,' but that same person in the U.S. military is a full grown MAN with his life and limb on the line. So, should we allow all of those that are serving us in the military to just ignore the rules whenever they feel like it? (I didn't think so) o_O

LMAO. I don't even know what you're ranting about, who is enabling them? Clearly you have an issue with athletes in general for your own personal reasons. I hope you are as opposed to other students who get in on scholarships for their talents whether it be music or other forms of art. You would think people would know by now that universities admit students for all types of reasons that aren't grade related, but ok. Way to stereotype as well, all our players are dumb jocks I guess.

No, but according to you the majority of the athletes are currently smoking dope.
Way to diss on all of those that are actually MEN and are keeping their word.

So to recap this conversation:

Insta: selfish idiots can't stick to their contracts, they let the team down!
Me: That's not necessarily the case, they don't test the entire team. It's completely possible, and likely (given the numbers of kids that age who smoke) that other members of the team had marijuana in their system, they were just lucky enough to not be chosen for testing.
Insta: Quit making excuses! the other members held up their recruitment contract!
Me: How do you know? They weren't all tested because that's not how the test works. It's possible the very players you're praising for not testing positive could have been smoking and even more recently than those who got popped.
Insta: You're an enabler! *goes on rant about athletes being entitled POS's, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Brilliant.

So to recap this conversation:

uzie - Not everyone is perfect, so the few that are caught should be ignored.
Insta - They are grown men at 18, just like those in the military and should be held accountable for the contract that they signed.

uzie - No, you don't understand, I'm claiming that many or most others are also not keeping their word, so the one's that get caught should be ignored.
Insta - No, they should all be held accountable.

uzie - Since you don't know that all of them aren't doing it, the ones that do get caught should be ignored, because me as an excuse making 'enabler' has said so.
Insta - No, you're still FoS.

uzie wizz-dumb in action yet again.... o_O

Me: Oozie, you can't carry on a conversation with Insta. If you put him on Ignore, you will have a more enjoyable experience on the board.
Oozie: I enjoy interacting with everyone.
Me: OK, don't say I didn't tell you.
Ozzie: INSTA, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Listen to Gray, he is trying to educate you in the ways of the world, young man.

uzie jumped on me for my opinion, so I responded in kind (just like I did with Danny), so it's obviously my fault that things got a little ugly.

And having me on ignore is a perfect solution. That way only those that want to read what I have to say will be seeing me, and those 'others' will be out of the picture. Thanks Gray, I've always known who and how you are, and it's appreciated by me....

We all knew what things meant....Until Muschamp.
Yea, Muschamp destroyed a lot of good things about the Gator program. But he did nothing to destroy the importance of UT/UF game. Unless nole somehow thinks that because Muschamp beating them four times, that somehow lessens the importance of the game. Now that I think about it, as stupid as that point of view is, that is probably exactly the one he was trying to make.

I hate to break it to you, but the amount of players smoking weed on these teams is at a staggering clip. But there's nothing in the world wrong with marijuana and im sick of it ruining peoples lives because the government is greedy and corrupt.

Back in the old days there was nothing wrong with smoking a little pine

until Muschamp

University policy is more like it.

This is not a knock @ Mac just pointing out the facts.

Alaskan how can I say this? Youre an asshole. Do you have a life or do you troll this board 24/7? Driskell is a good kid who got bad coaching. BTW, he was never stopped for shoplifting, hitting a woman or what's the other one? Oh yeah he's never been accused and sued for Raping a woman.

How about if I just try to ignore the others constantly attacking me and my opinions, like you always do? ;) (your's in particular)

I've had my say on this thread, so I'll just move along now....
