TYLER, Texas – The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose award announced the semifinalists for the 2019 Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, as quarterback Kyle Trask was recognized among the nation’s top collegiate offensive players included as semifinalists.

Since taking over at the helm of the Gators’ offense, redshirt junior quarterback Kyle Trask has been vital to Florida’s success this season. After a 23-6 win over Missouri on Saturday, Trask has led the Gators to a 9-2 overall record and 6-2 finish in SEC play (first time since 2016), setting up a chance to post a second consecutive 10-win season – a feat that hasn’t been accomplished since 2008 and 2009 (13 wins).

After recording 20-plus completions (23) for the fifth-straight game and throwing for 275-plus yards (282) for the fourth time this season, along with two touchdowns, against Missouri, Trask became the first Gator since Tim Tebow to do so multiple times within a season. The Manvel, Texas native has emerged as a top quarterback in the SEC, sitting third among the conference in touchdowns (21), completion percentage (66.7%) and QB rating (158.00). Additionally, Trask ranks fourth among the league in completions (183) and passing yards (2,293).

The No. 11 Florida Gators return back to action next Saturday, Nov. 30, when they host Florida State at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Senior Night to close out the regular season. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. to be televised on the SEC Network.
