I saw a short Trump clip where he is saying that Florida was doing fine without DeSantis..was fine under Charlie Crist and so forth. Then he goes on to take credit for DeSantis ( implying that there something to take credit for ), even though he said DeSantis wasnt any big deal. Sounded real weak and pathetic. Didnt sound like a guy well on his way to victory.

I heard a bit of that and that was actually a mistake by Trump. He needs to stay away from trying to degrade DeSantis' accomplishments in Florida. That might register somewhat outside Florida, but it will irk a lot of Floridians who are likely considering voting for him over DeSantis.
I disagree on that. I think the Crist stuff probably has no real effect good or bad but hitting him on that insurance situation probably helps. I know some people that are getting killed now here with those rates. I am glad I paid my house off so I self insure (or risk I should say) basically on everything but fire.

The new insurance law sucks a bag of donkey dicks. If you are in a designated flood zone, there are few to no carriers other than Citizens who will write you. This year, Citizens is requiring you purchase a separate flood policy to get fire, casualty, and liability through them.............even if you don't need it, like my place on the gulf. We're 18 feet in the air on pilings, and the land is 5 feet above sea level. That's some BULLSHIT. Flood insurance is insanely expensive. I think I found another company that will write us, fingers crossed.
