Is it also historical facts that people like Frederick Douglas & Abraham Lincoln fought to end slavery? Or that the Republican Party as you know it was birthed from the old negro Republican Party instituted by blacks to abolish slavery? Does historical fact entail the Democrat Party starting the KKK and ensuing the plight of AAs in America from the plantations of old to the ratchet, rag-tag mindset and economic conditions of today's black generation? Does historical fact entail influential AAs from Douglas through MLK & Malcolm X to Barack Obama and the new AA conservatives of today like Candace Owens, Larry Elder, etc.? I was raised in the deep south during the 60's and was taught to be rascist. As I grew up and went in to the world on my own, I met some wonderful people (non white) and my eyes started opening. Very fortunate that one of my best friends today was one of the best put together human beings I have ever met. A black man born in the late 30's that grew up in Mississippi. Guy retired an E6 (held back because of race) and we had many hundred hours of very frank discussion about race/racism. It changed me. Now I (Earl is not either)am the furthest thing away from a bleeding heart, but I also believe it is someone's choice as to their views about race. There are no laws against not liking people because of their color...and that works MANY different ways.

I was raised in a lower-middle class racist household in the 50's/60's in Tampa, FL. I grew up in segregated schools until HS.
I saw the late 60's race riots and bad chit done by both sides and I hated it.

I volunteered to join the military, and then volunteered to go to VN, and over time I learned that A-holes come in all colors, but so do fine citizens who love America and what it can offer to anyone that wants a better way of life and is willing to work to get it.

In the 1970's in Cal. I met and was attracted to a young black woman. After some time spent talking with her, I wanted to date her. She also liked me, but her family was strongly racist against whites. She didn't want to lose connections with her family so we couldn't be anything more than just good friends. I accepted that and we both moved on over time.

I think teaching young people about all of the problems of society is a good idea, but only if it includes ALL of the information, and offers some of the solutions for improvements.

Rather than racial bias, two bigger factors in the staggering rates of black-on-black violence have surfaced, familiarity and proximity. According to the FBI’s annual crime report in 2018:

Most murder victims are acquaintances of the suspects in cases where the relationship between both parties was identified.
Crimes committed by friends and family also exceed those perpetrated by strangers of any race.

The proportion of black-on-black homicides to the number of black people killed was at 89.3% in 2015, and that's the first time since the dawn of the 21st century that the rate fell below 90%.

Only 29.7% of the violent crimes suffered by blacks were committed by all other races, and only 10.6% of which were by whites.

Whites greatly outnumber blacks, but in 2015, the FBI reported 500 homicide cases involving blacks killing whites, but only 229 cases involving whites killing blacks. Homicides involving blacks killing whites increased progressively from 2013 to 2015.
(those facts have not made me hate black people in general, or stop connecting with my black friends or my extended family members)

Racists, like criminals and other evil people, come in all shapes, sizes, colors, ethnicity, social status, and wealth levels.
Racism is worldwide and has been with us since the dawn of time.
Controlling it in any society is up to all of the individuals in that society, not just one group of them.

You can acknowledge anything you like. How does that make a black person calling black people the superior race ok?

Agree. People are free to be garbage provided that their beliefs only harm themselves.

And there is no law that would be effective at truly changing the heart of a racist...like the racist I mentioned in my OP.

As a cop, I'm called a cracker MF'er on the reg....at least a few times per week. Likewise my coworkers who aren't white are called exactly what you might suspect that they might be called. WGAS...considering the source.
