Hey all,
I just exchanged messages with Michael Tunsil, the mentor of former 2019 offensive tackle signee, Wardrick Wilson.
The former four-star prospect signed two recruiting classes ago, and has since went through some visa issues that put a roadblock between himself and the Swamp.
However, according to Tunsil, Wilson recently took care of his those issues and is now eligible to attend any Division I program.
“I'll find out this week if UF is still interested. Immigration paperwork finally came in Saturday,” Tunsil told GatorsTerritory.
Since Wilson signed with the Gators in 2019, is there anything keeping both parties connected? Is he free to sign with any program?
“He got released a few months ago when he thought he can enroll in a school without his immigration paperwork. It didn't work out, so he's basically free to go anywhere. I'm going to call UF today or tomorrow to see if they’re interested still. A few schools have reached out since Saturday night.”
With that being said, which schools have reached out to Wilson’s camp?
“Ole Miss, Rutgers, Tennessee, Ga Tech, Old Dominion, Arkansas.”
We will continue to keep tabs on the situation, but that’s the latest as of Tuesday afternoon.
