How the hell did the entire state of Florida let Paxton Lynch slither through their fingers and go out of state? I've been posting on other boards that I believe he'll eventually be a 1st round draft choice. I thought today's game would end up a track meet, Memphis's defense had sucked up until today. Guy is huge and has NFL skills.

Thanks again asshat!

Please tell me you are kidding.

No I followed that recruitment. Florida nearly offered him. They seriously went with Skyler

True talk here. My son attends Memphis, he is good friends with Lynch. Known the kid since his redshirt year. He wasn't highly recruited because he was injured his senior season. He said UF all but offered him. Said the coached called and said they were going in another direction. Backwards I guess.

Knowing what we know about Muschamp now UF did him a favor by not offering. He'd probably been damaged goods and a train wreck. It's probably a blessing Grier redshirted.

Yep, potential top QB in this years draft. He probably would have been a wildcat formation QB under Muschamp.

Muschamp doesn't know anything about offensive football. He can't spot talent, he can't develop talent, he can't coach talent, and most of all he can't hire anyone who is capable of doing those 3 things. Sadly Lynch would've been mis-managed and not well coached under that moron.

Spot on. Muschamps ignorance of offense was only surpassed by his inability to identify and empower coaches to delegate his offensive responsibilities to. During his tenure as our head coach he never showed the ability to learn from his mistakes. I call that stubborn and stupid.

It is amazing how some coaches have that knack for evaluating and developing talent.

I mean just compare somebody like Memphis's Justin Fuente vs Will Muschamp and his tenure at Florida. One can evaluate tons of under the radar talent and coach them up to line up and beat nearly anybody they face. Another can't evaluate talent.worth a shiz but still lands top quality talent due to the brand he coached at, does not develop them enough to beat Ga Southern and struggle with Louisiana Lafayette.

This again. His offer sheet up until national letter of intent signing day consisted off a partial scholarship to Florida Tech. USF passed on him. UCF initially passed on him and then offered him on LOI day. He wasn't even ranked/rated at his position by ESPN. Everyone missed on this kid.

This. Plus Skyler had offers from several SEC programs, including Alabama and Tennessee.

There are a lot of legitimate criticisms of Muschamp. This is not one of them.
