The final outcome of Saturday's game was an indictment of the status of Florida Gator Football in the opinion of the current coaching staff. Playing shorthanded and without the proven starter LDR at the QB position, the coaching staff got a lead, and then played to the team's strengths (Defense). It was a gamble that proved cost, because Appleby played like the old Appleby at Purdue. Not taking anything away from him, he played a good first half. However, when the pressure is ratcheted a person normally reverts back to their true form, he did. The SEC East is still within the grasp of this years team pending the development of the running game. The defense also has to clean up some issues as well. All in all Saturday's game was a 50/50 game for either team. UT got UF caught up in the perfect storm and unleashed 11 years of frustration. I have to say I was a little disappointed, but not shocked. It was a matter or time before they got one and they did. Apparently the poster felt the same sentiments, because UF only dropped a few spots in the latest polls and are still ranked in the top 25.
