Tapping the oil reserves----Stupid is as stupid does? 50 M barrels is less

This is classic dem spin. The dems create a mess, then their devoted followers demand to know why the republicans aren't cleaning it up.

A year ago, we were energy independent.

A year ago, gas was $1.75 a gallon.

A year ago, no one worried about whether there would be anything in stores to buy for Christmas.

A year ago, we didn't have as many covid cases or deaths, and didn't have vaccines either.

What changed? Dems took power, and we are now getting all the pain and misery that comes when they do.

It's like 6% finished. It's really nothing but I've said before that I'm ok with restoring it. I just wouldn't give that company any protections if anything goes wrong.
Neither Ford Jr or Manchin are against green energy. Not even close. But what they are saying is that green energy is not viable YET, to the masses, and in the meantime we should not just cut off fossil fuel production when that is what we have at the moment. Here's a common sense question. Did it make sense for Biden to turn off our own oil producing spigots on day one, where we were not reliant on foreign oil, and then 10 months later start begging OPEC and Russia to produce more oil. Is the planet cleaner if they produce it instead of us. I do not get the logic. Can you explain this to me?

Our resident expert on energy, BSC says you have it all wrong. BSC will likely straighten you out. And yes, BSC. We all know "out" is a preposition.

Interesting question….. are there sufficient recoverable oil reserves in Florida waters?

Don’t know if anyone has ever been to Holly Beach LA, but there’s nothing like the sight of oil platforms just a few miles offshore from the beach. I guess if the production platforms are sufficiently distant so as no to be visible from shore, you could possibly get away with it….
There is thought to be. They won’t even allow seismic surveys. They have proposed it before, but the tourism industry won’t allow it for fear of hurting the beaches. It’s a “not in my backyard” mentality. So it’s kind of ironic when people from Florida bring up Keystone, which is Canadian oil, yet won’t allow US drilling offshore Florida. Both are environmental issues.

And yes, I’ve been on those oil platforms offshore Holly Beach. Even cooler are the ones just onshore LoS Angela’s. THUMS island. They actually blend in very well.

No, because it’s not true. Biden doesn’t control our oil producing spigots. In fact, US production is up since he has taken office.

You’ve been duped again.

Well, he does have it all wrong. Like you, he is just ignorant on the matter since he gets his info from bad sources.

And I’m not against using prepositions at the end of a sentence. That rule is outdated, although it may have been one when you were in school long ago.

We were always reliant on foreign oil, yes that includes under Trump. We have good conversations and you can truly ask me anything, but let's not start a question with a jaded lie.

What supply did Biden stop?

You also have to consider that Manchin and Ford Jr come from very red states, so their base is different. Jon Tester also thinks the Keystone pipeline should remain. Your state matters.

I'm not opposed to building the Keystone pipeline. I'm also not opposed to building/developing green energy. We should be able to do both.

Crude down $5/bbl today. I can’t wait for the Trumpers to give Joey credit when gasoline prices drop.

LOL Kalim, Ford Jr has no base. He's been out of Congress for 14 years. He lives in the first or second bluest state in the country--New York. He's looking at it from a practical common sense point of view, not to win reelection in a state he don't even live in. I can see how easily you dismiss MODERATES like Manchin and Ford Jr and just hang on for dear life to that far left faction no matter how bad current conditions may be.

Average price of a gallon of gas on November 24, 2020 was $2.10.

Today, it is $3.40 a gallon.

That's an increase of $1.30 a gallon. Hiden gets all the credit in the world for that increase. You finally got something right.

You still post here? I thought you finally decided to honor your bet, welcher.

I didn't dismiss them. I said I agree with them and provided why they think the way they do.

Have you not been paying attention? Its not for us.. It's to drop the price of crude

This is basic stuff people. Everyone but @Sunburnt Indian should understand this.
We have to worry about the rising price of crude under Hiden because we have lost our energy independence that President Trump gave us.

When you depend on other nations for your energy, they set the prices.

You are finally getting it.

Why are we asking OPEC and Russia to increase production? Do we not have enough to meet our own needs?
This didn't happen under Trump, what changed?

I do remember Trump going to Germany and demanding to know why they were buying their energy from Russia, when they could be buying it from the US.

America having enough energy to meet its own needs, and sell your excess to other nations for a profit. Along with paying $1,30 less a gallon for gas.

What a concept!

Sunny, I'll just leave this one up for you. I set them up, you knock em over. It's Retard Bowling Night. 😂
I know a few posters have guessed that @BSC911 and @kalimgoodman are the same poster. I don't think they are, and here's why:

@kalimgoodman often discusses topics he knows absolutely nothing about, and he gets totally exposed for his ignorance. But to his 'credit', when exposed, he tends to run as far as possible from the topic and won't address it again.

@BSC911 is the opposite. When he is exposed for his ignorance, he doubles down and charges the same windmill, missing over and over again.

For additional amusement, @Sunburnt Indian sits on top of the windmill and laughs at @BSC911 for missing. Flustered, he charges again, and whiffs again.

So entertaining to watch.

Another quiz for @Sunburnt Indian

Crude Oil was down $10/bbl, or 15%, Friday. This was due to:

a. Biden selling oil from the SPR
b. The Keystone pipeline being built.
c. The US becoming energy independent
d. All of the above.

Go for it Fouxonomo. You’re great at quizzes.

I hate to do this, but it really is sad how ignorant you are on every single topic you want to discuss.

"Oil prices experienced one of their worst trading days in recent memory on Friday, plunging across the board by over 10% on fears that a new COVID-19 variant discovered in Southern Africa might dampen economic growth and trigger another demand slump. Following the spectacular failure of the SPR release, which instead of depressing prices ratcheted them up higher, renewed COVID-19 concerns have now brought about President Biden’s objective."

Poor @BSC911.

And everyone note the oil production chart. @BSC911 has often claimed that oil production has increased under Hiden. That is dead wrong, as well. Pre-covid, the US produced roughly 13M barrels of oil a day, now we produce 11M.

That's a DECLINE of roughly 15%. That's why we are no longer energy independent.

In closing, pay your Rivals bill.

Ghost, you share a characteristic with most of us. Getting through to the slow is completely beyond your reach.

I find it fascinating. Our other trolls like @kalimgoodman (here's what inflation means, here's why I like Hiden) and @Uniformed_ReRe (why didn't the dems vote for the 1964 Civil Rights Act?) are at least smart enough to run from a topic when their ignorance is exposed.

@BSC911 is the worst of all trolls: He tries to troll everyone on topics where everyone else knows more about the topic than he does.
