Tabor, Lewis indefinitely suspended; will miss UMass game

It's sad that Tabor became the face of the program and now he is back in trouble. I swear we can not get out out own way as a team

Tabor had a real good thing going heading into draft year. Seemed to have put his previous issues behind him. Hopefully it isn't anything too serious. Given that they are only announcing a 1 game suspension at this point, probably isn't that serious. Might cost him some $ though.

Has to be worse than just weed if they're suspended from practice and team activities also, right?

One game won't cripple us and it will be valuable experience for some youth... still it's stories like this that we are all checking the boards for every hour just waiting for the next stone to fall. Sept 3rd can't get here soon enough.

Yeah it's one game. Yeah it's UMASS. Yeah we will win by 40.

I'm still sick of this crap.

Tabor was suspended last season also for a game, so no one should be surprised it happened.

Interesting considering how much publicity and face time we've given Tabor. I'm sure it has to be very disappointing to Mac for them to not even be allowed to practice. Would think it's more than weed in that instance, but who knows.

Not his first offense if weed which I would assume would mean more than one game. May have done something at the team hotel

Other sites reporting that it was a fight

If it were weed, it would be 20% of the games - which would be a two game suspension.

More concerned about the missed practice time than the UMASS game......Damn !!!

Missed practice time, after two and a half weeks of camp, for a two year starter isn't that big a deal. Hell, if anything it gives his body a chance to rest up and get out of this heat - as well as give some youngsters a shot at more snaps.

Florida is going to win the first two games regardless. In the opener, Tabor might have only played a quarter or a half. This just gives the young guys more reps both in practice and the game. On the other hand, if you don't know it by now, Tabor is in love with the limelight and all that brings. Though it isn't completely out of the question, he is much less likely to win or be a finalist for these post season awards coming off a suspension. He could also potentially cost himself draft positions, etc...

So honestly, if it is only a 1-2 game suspension, who it hurts most is Jalen Tabor - not really so much the Gators other than the bad publicity that comes with it.
