Corey and I have been gathering some information about Sunday night's scrimmage and this is what we have so far:

- Three separate sources described the scrimmage as physical with the defense doing very well on the night.

- Lamical Perine ran in for two touchdowns while Feleipe Franks connected with Freddie Swain for one.

- Speaking of Franks, I was told the quarterback had another sharp scrimmage. He had one interception to Trey Dean.

- Shawn Davis had another very strong scrimmage and looks like he is moving up the depth chart.

- CB Jaydon Hill had a pick

- In addition to Hill there were several young guys that had a good scrimmage like Tyron Hopper (although we hear he is expected to redshirt). However, the big three that stood out tonight were: Nay'Quan Wright, Mohamoud Diabate, and Khris Bogle.

- Gators freshman CB Kaiir Elam had his best day of camp on Sunday night.

- As I wrote earlier in the which freshmen was standing out thread, Bogle has won over many this camp. The freshman has continuously impressed and has had a very strong camp. One source tells GT that they would be shocked if the doesn't factor in this season for the defense.

- Jonathan Greenard recorded a sack.

- A source tells GT that Jeremiah Moon had a great scrimmage Sunday night. Moon has slowly impressed more and more as camp progressed and he was one of the best defenders on the field in the scrimmage.

More from Corey:

- I'm told Franks played "really good" in the scrimmage other than an interception to Trey Dean.

- Trevon Grimes, Van Jefferson and Jacob Copeland all had touchdowns this evening.

- WR/TE Kyle Pitts had an impressive scrimmage as well. I'm told he's having a really good camp and definitely impressing the coaches.

- CJ Henderson, Marco Wilson, Lamical Perine and Jabari Zuniga "didn't play much," but those guys impressed when called upon.

- As we noted, Van Jefferson recorded a touchdown and made a strong impression on those in attendance. Henderson and Marco were "good" as expected.

- That same source highlighted Jefferson and Copeland as the ones who really caught their attention throughout the scrimmage. A lot of positive reviews of Copeland.

- I'm told the DBs were so/so as a whole. I'm told the freshmen are having some growing pains, but that is expected and there isn't much worry there. They will simply get better over time. As Jacquie reported, CB Jaydon Hill recorded an interception in the scrimmage.
