Looks as though we came out really well. Tuesday, prior to any selections being made, Ty Evans announced he is returning for his senior year. And just like a snap of the fingers Kevin O’Sullivan has one of the best outfields in the country and quality depth, too.
Apparently Colby Shelton (20th round) and transfer starting pitcher Michael Ross (18th round) sent out similar words. Ryan Slater now has a late round selection as incrntive his return, as well, to lift his possibilities for the 2025 draft.
And it appears that our only loss from the incoming freshman class is the first round pick by the Dodgers of Hardee County shortstop Kellon Lindsay. Some of the freshman classes currently ranked higher than ours will see their best recruits disappear into signed contracts. Florida’s ranking will move higher. Sully is bound to be walking with some extra spring in his step in his baseball legs today.
