This is still a game because of Treon, yet again he didn't see a FG block coming on 4th down like Driskel and just runs the toss right into it to set up that drive for them to score and cut it to 10. Treon is absolutely pathetic. He is an absolute emabarrassment

Screwing the pooch badly here. USC does nothing all game and is in it because they were allowed to hang around. Now momentum is in their corner. We'll see how this abortion ends beginning with the end of the first half.
Going for it is fine, running the damn toss was the issue. You don't need to go laterally on 4th and 1, ESPECIALLY with our oline. Penetration will swallow it up before you can get outside. And we've gotten very predictable with the unbalanced toss play on 4th down too.
I'm sorry, but Treon Harris stinks and is a liability. I never like to rip on college kids, but the guy just isn't good. So many mediocrities at QB have come out and torched this SC defense this season, and this is the best he can do?
Also discouraging that the Gators D, after having completely dominated these chumps all game, decides to not show up for a couple of drives and let them back in the game. Florida should be up about 45-7 in this game - South Carolina is A-W-F-U-L.

So a million dollar question, Can WE BEAT FSU and Whomever comes in Atlanta? I would love to split these at worse.
This was supposedly a 7 win team, picked to finish 5th in the East.
We're going to Atlanta with at least ten wins. Some fans must not understand how unbelievably lucky we are to have a coach like Mac. A win is definitely a win with this roster. When Coach fills up this team with his talent, we are going to beat the living hell out of some folks!

I don't get the hate. The first interception was an awful play and he also took two other sacks that I felt were poor pocket presence. Outside of that he played a solid game. The second pick was a freak play caused by the oline. Went 18/32 for 246, and at least six of those passes were throw aways. In other words, smart plays. Factor that in and we're looking at a stat line with a around a 69% completion %. Also made a few nice touch throws. And most importantly, by my count 14 of his completions were from the pocket which is what we've all been screaming for him to do. He stood in there and took a beating to a fault, sometimes taking dumb sacks because of it. Look at the little stuff, the passing game is getting better.
We will have at least 10 wins to end this season, and have a shot at making the playoffs. It's Mac's first year, he's working with what he has and has worked miracles. Treon isn't the best but we are winning games with him, and he is currently our best option, and looked improved today. Let's keep winning and stop complaining.
No sunshine pumping here, but I still believe Treon hasn't had his best game yet. Yes it's true he's definitely not a marine welder and there are leaks in the ship, but he does enough to get us to port afloat! Go Treon,GO GATORS 9-1 HELL YES!!!
This offense is based off a lot of true freshman, a true soph backup QB and a few guys he grabbed so we had an OL 2 deep. We are all but assured 10 wins at the least. Big time playmakers and possibly Franks are coming on board, something that seemed near impossible 6 months ago. Not sure many of the complaints on the board are warranted. Great post ifunaint!!
It's a miracle we are 9-1 with some of the personnel we have and a backup QB. Just be glad that it looks like we have a coaching staff that is very very good. Let's be honest we don't have much on our oline and we knew that before the season started. To be 9-1 and likely 10-1 is pretty remarkable.
No sunshine pumping from me, we are playing with house money. However sometimes I get really pissed Mac doesn't realize when it's time to step on the throat and close a game out by taking the 3 at the end of the first half. Do that and I really believe the second half would have been a blowout by breaking USCe's spirit. I hate Bama but Saban weathered the first half storm today and systematically, slowly, drip by drip beat out Miss State's brains. MSU brought the house and was kicking Bama's ass in the 1st quarter. Sometimes take your small wins (field goal) and wear them out later. We don't need to go for 4th and 1 every series it comes up. At some point it will bite you in the ass. Pick your battles.
Whatever happened to that walk-on q.b. reported earlier this fall, a foreign-born player, named Jacques a.k.a. "Jim" Jebeau (or something a lot like that)? The aura of maturity that's claimed for him is really appealing, when contrasted with Treon's inexperience. Why haven't we seen Jebeau on the field in a Gator uniform yet? Did he run afoul of some technicalities in the NCAA rules?
