Holgorsen was already in talks with West Virginia about becoming the Mountaineers' coach-in-waiting, a position he has accepted.
My Thoughts - I was told the night he was hired, and posted here on the Alley, that CWM was interested in at least seeing if Holgorsen was interested in the UF OC job
--There has been no notable contact with former Miami coach Randy Shannon.
My thoughts - I post this tidbit because as I posted earlier in the week, he would be a big get for the Gators IMHO)
--Mack Brown has also notified UT officials staffers Major Applewhite (running backs coach), Duane Akina (defensive backs coach) and George Wynn (assistant director of football operations) are not going to Florida.
My thoughts - Applewhite, we pretty much know he wasn't going to be considered for OC based on CWM's job description for the position. Akina is very close to CWM though. UF doesn't have a DFO position since Lacivita left for FSU
