These are per game averages they use.

Florida is the # 9 total offense in the country, # 11 scoring offense

Florida is the # 1 total passing offense in the entire country

Florida's running game is not even in the top 100 in the country

Florida is the # 62 total defense it appears

Looks like Pac12/Big12 type numbers you usually see. Would have never believed any of those numbers prior to the season. The passing on the great side and how low the defensive and rushing numbers were. I guess the SEC is becoming a lot like the pass happy conferences now.

Trask put up 46 points vs the #1 Team in the nation, with the Saban coached D.

Mac Jones only put up 6 more points vs the #62 defense in the nation.

I guess that settles the questions on which QB deserves the Heisman. ;)

Everyone knows you can pass on this Bama defense if you have the playmakers. Clemson will pass all over this team also if they play.

Trask had to win that game to have a chance unfortunately.

Trask has been great, as has Jones. But as for the Heisman, I would give it to Trevor Lawrence, who has been the best player in the country for 3 years. He's heading towards his 3rd straight NCAA title game and I think he wins his 2nd. But that's just me. I feel sorry for the kid, though, because he's going to probably be playing for the Jets next year.

He'll get an invite, which is a Zoom invite this year. But I can't see him winning now, riding a 2 game losing streak. Heisman winners rally their teams to victory.

I have a feeling Trevor Lawrence might sneak it out. Mac and Harris are going to each get some votes, might cancel each other out a bit, and with all the major players being SEC other than Lawrence, I can see some SEC haters in other areas letting that be a factor for them. Plus Lawrence is such a talent that NFL teams are bagging their seasons in an effort to draft him; that may impress a few voters as well.

My guess is they give it to Lawrence also.

Wow, I must have missed it when they changed the Heisman from an INDIVIDUAL award to a team award, or a career (last 3 years) award.

However, since it's a 'political' vote that's not necessarily given to the best player, any of the Top 5-6 could be named the winner.

My own little bit is this:
UF has had 3 Heisman QB's, and the current QB just had a better single season than any of them had.

Against an All SEC schedule, 1st time ever:

Only Gator QB to throw for over 4,000 yards, (4,125) and he did it in just 11 games. (topped Grossman)
Only Gator QB to throw for 40+ TD's (43 to just 5 Ints). (topped Wuerffel 39 & Tebow 32)
And he wasn't playing behind the
'Great Wall of Florida' OL, nor did he have a Smith/Rhett/Taylor at RB to take off some of the pressure.

I mean the Heisman for a very long time
Kind of was a lifetime achievement award, hence why they never gave it to freshman or sophomores until Tebow.

I don't see Lawrence winning it, but....when you have 3 a bunch of guys from the same
Conference that are going to get votes (Trask, Jones, Smith and Harris) that certainly
Opens the door to Lawrence winning it simply due to split votes.

It must be killing the village idiot trolls that I have on ignore, because they continue to yap-yap-yap at me, since on ignore they certainly are not talking to me... 😏

Always begging for some attention from their betters... :p

We had like a 35 year period until Tebow where no QB was given a Heisman with 3 losses and that year they were even trying to find ways not to do it until the others had multiple losses. Now we have had 2 since Tebow with 3 losses that had pinball numbers like him.

In 2011 Griffin got it over Andrew Luck whose team only had 1 loss at that point I think and Lamar Jackson got it over the Clemson QB in 2016.

A chance I guess but I just sense he had to win that Bama game for them to give it to him.

Since 2000 only 3 non-QB's won the Heisman and Reggie Bush's was vacated. Those 2 were Derrick Henry & Mark Ingram. It's almost become the Power 5 QB with the best stats award. I'd be thrilled if Trask won and I think he'll be in the Final 3. He certainly meets their stated criteria:
"Outstanding performance which best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work."

But the voting is totally subjective and if Trevor Lawrence hadn't missed a couple of games due to Covid protocol, I think he would win easily. And I do think the voters take into consideration a player's body of work, whether they should or not. Is there any QB or any player ever who was a primary player on their team who played for 3 straight national titles, won at least 1 and possibly 2? Lawrence has been on 3 excellent teams, but his value is obvious. He missed the 1st Notre Dame game and they lost in OT. He's back for the rematch and they win a blowout. If I had a vote, even though a Gator who would love for Kyle Trask to win, I'd vote for Lawrence. Maybe I see it more as an MVP award, but that's just me.

Most yds per carry for any player in the country.....Lawrence Toafili fsu running back with a staggering 9.76 yds per carry..... Boom

I see why Ohio St made it but don’t agree with it. Can we just all take our 6 best wins and put that resume against Ohio St

With only six games played they should be well rested and at full strength. And how about Notre Damn? Didn’t they just get back from the woodshed?

Trask threw 3 interceptions in the girst quarter in the bowl game, do you still feel the same?

I don't think that they would have given it to Trask no matter what he did in the SEC-C or the bowl game.

Didnt the Heisman back in the day used to go to the most exciting player to watch?
