She's flat out said it's not about Trump, but 'future' Presidents.

Does this mean she's doing this as a warning to Hiden? It almost sounds like this is a message being sent to Hiden that if you think you can stay President, we will take you out.

Remember, there's no way this can pass. And if this was merely a ploy to appeal to her donors, she would have positioned it as being completely about Trump. She went out of her way to say it was NOT ABOUT TRUMP.

Depending on the specifics, it might be a good thing. The power of the executive branch has grown dramatically over the last century. In parliamentary systems, they have “no confidence” votes that can be used to force PMs out of office if needed. It would be good to have a way to remove bad presidents without necessarily convicting them of High Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Seems fairly clear to me that what the 25th amendment would be designed to do would be to remove Trump if he wins the election and they don’t like the results or to get rid of Biden if he wins the election so that Kamala Harris can be the president. Nancy pretty clearly tipping our hand here...

That's what makes me think this move is more about giving them a failsafe for Hiden than it is Trump. They obviously won't have the votes to get it through Senate, so it's obviously about sending a message. If the message was at Trump, you leave out the 'future Presidents' line.
