SEC Bowls / Past 10 years to present.

Why do SEC fans have such a hard time admitting the acc, right now, for the first time in a LONG time have the better coaches.

Before Watson what was his record against the gamecocks?
I love this. Without Watson....Without Winston...Without Cook

As for your question, no idea. Of course that coincided with the best run in USC history so probably not too well.

What if the gates had no tebow

Hell, tell me the name of the Auburn coach that won the title with Cam? And you're right, dabo had a goose egg his first 5 full seasons against the cocks

Urban won with Chris Leak. Now thats impressive.

Tebow was still there wasn't he? Harvin was still there. The murderer was still there. Eye poker was still there.

The point is, NO coach wins big without STAR players. I challenge you to name a team that won a title that didn't have starts. No coach is that good. Players matter more than coaches but coaches still matter. Hence why Auburn won with Cam. That coach sucked as a head coach.

half the players you named didn't play in 06, and Tebow played about 1/4 of games if that most of the time.

Tebow ran the ball 89 times that year for almost 500 yards and 8 tds. He also threw 5 tds.

Harvin ran for 428 yards on 41 carries and 3 tds with 10.4 ypc and caught 34 passes for 427 yards and 2 tds with an avg of 12 yards per catch

I pulled a whoopsy on the other 2. However, the point remains, no coach has ever won it all without superstars on their team.

that's about the number of snaps he took in the season total, because he rarely ever threw the ball the first year and a lot of those appearances were in the first games and at the end against UK. Leak was the QB

I didn't think Leak was bad. He has a career 61.5 completion percentage and threw for 88 tds and ran if effectively at times. He didn't end with a lot of yards because of sacks but he wasn't a terrible runner.

To me Leak was just good enough, add in tebow and percy contributions. The Gators were very good that year.

Yeah ok Chizik won 3 games after Cam. Hey look I thought Dabo would falter after Chad Morris left. They didn't. He's made great hires like Venebles. He recruits well obviously.

Dabo is not a bad coach at all. He has it rolling in Clemson and has had it rolling for awhile. They are in the top 4 in winning percentage the last 5 or 6 yrs. You don't do that over that big of a span if u suck.

Why would u think that? Morris is a high school coach. He had an idea of a good system which most teams run anyway. Dabo is very good at hiring coaches who know what they are doing. the Venebles hire was a homerun

Because that is not clear. One *can* say that the ACC is better this year than they have been for awhile. And that the ACC better this year than the SEC.

But one cannot say unequivocally that the ACC has better coaches. The ACC needs to show dominance over the SEC for more than one year to assert that.

What has been ACC vs SEC record the last 3 years?

SEC is 13-18 against the ACC over the past 3 yrs

SEC was 18-6 the 3 yrs before that.

So there has 100% been a turnaround. ACC is not as dominate over the SEC as the SEC was over the ACC but you cant argue that the ACC is not better right now.

To your point, its hard to say anything is "unequivocally" better or worse. However, the ACC has better coaches now then they did 10 yrs ago and the SEC has worse coaches now then they did 10 yrs ago in my opinion.
