While there may have been some roots of racism in some team names in sports in the past, if we remove all mention of anything that isn’t sterilized we will start the process of losing cultural identity.

The Quanah, Texas city council asked permission from the Quanah Parker family to name their town Quanah. The family gave their approval.

Quanah Parker was the last chief of all 6 Divisions of the Horse People. All leaders of the Comanche since are called Chairman.

The US gov appointed Quanah Parker Chief. Many of the People disapproved. Quanah Parker was of the Kwahadi Division and half white.
