Yeah the dems suck and got crushed for decades... almost like the two parties were working in tandem: the repubs cut taxes for the ultra weathly (which nearly all elected dems are) and the dems cry foul, run on policies they have no intention of delivering on and lose election after election.

That being said, the elections of 2017, 2018 & 2019 have not only favored the left, they have favored POC, non-christians and progressives. We're on a roll to have more representative Representation in Our Beautifully Diverse Country.

They cut taxes for everyone. The dems positioned it as only being for the rich to try to get the poor and middle class to vote them out, and vote against their best interests.

As we see here, the appeals to class warfare are still working. SMH
