1. For those on Social Security...I believe the Feds have purposely understated inflation to keep COLA raises for SS recipients low.
2. For those who have savings accounts, CD accounts, money market funds, etc...the banks and Wall Street, and the central banks have run up ruinous debt causing them Ithe Feds) to drop rates, ZIRP, NIRP (in many countries) and it's the savers who have suffered while the banks print $$$$ or Euros and they (the TBTF banks) make money...it surprises me that many (globally) would invest money into negative-yielding bonds...but many do.
3. For those who have lost their jobs due to offshoring jobs, globalization, automation...they deserve a look-see for reparations.
4. I'm against descendants of slaves receiving reparations: they, themselves, were not slaves.

I live 30 miles south of Gettysburg and 20 miles east of Antietam.

REPARATIONS were paid in FULL on those two battlefields along with Shiloh, Vicksburg, the Wilderness and so many others.

I did describe four instances of theft (what I believe is theft) of the people.
I did not come to the conclusion that the perpetrators should keep the money...that is your creation.
Reparations could come from many sources, as thinking people know...not from just one source.
I'm not aware of any trained seals clapping their flippers, much less posting on this forum...but since you brought this point up...perhaps you'll be brave enough to name names of who falls into the category of trained seals.
