It's really quite simple. Our coaching staff will start next season with a quarterback that fulfills the following criteria:
1. Knows the current offensive system.
2. Has had time with and been observed and evaluated positively by members of the staff.
3. Has demonstrated in practice or live games to make good decisions within the system.
4. Has the physical tools, arm strength, mechanics etc. to execute plays.
The only quarterback that fits that bill is Luke DelRio. Harris will finish his career as Gator QB in the bowl game. Grier is ineligible until game 7 and his snaps by necessity will be limited until then. Our only current QB commit, Trask, is a project that will be redshirted. IF we get Franks he will not be our starter game 1, if you think so you have no idea how college football coaches function. IF we get a transfer he will not have the time to develop trust from the staff by game 1.
