He was in a very bad automobile accident in a remote place like South Dakota. He crushed a section of his vertebrae and had to undergo an 8-hour surgery. He currently has no feelings in the lower half of his body, and supposedly is in the process of being transferred to a facility in Denver that specializes in these matters.
