Good for him...we've had some great ones but I've never seen a more explosive player at UF or almost anywhere in college football in my life. Just saw an interview with him on floridagators.com and I think that's awesome.

That guy was amazing on the field and well deserved homie! #gators

Not my favorite Gator (character-student) but he was a great player on the field without a doubt.

2008 RB/WR Percy Harvin 5-11 195 Jr

Rushing - 70 for 660 yds, 9.43 ypc, 10 TD's, L-80
Receiving - 40 for 644 yds, 16.1 yds/rec, 7 TD's, L70

2018 RB/WR/KR/wcQB Kadarius Toney 5-11 190 So

Rushing - 21 for 240 yds, 11.43 ypc, 1 TD, L-45
Receiving - 25 for 260 yds, 10.4 yds/rec, 1 TD, L-45
KR - 6 for 133 yds, 22.2 yds/ret, L-51
Passing - 1 for 1 for 20 yds, 1 TD
(he's been injured out most of 2019) :(

One of the top 5 players in UF football history to me.
Agreed...and while he had some things going on when he was at the school he seems a lot more measured and poised now. I have no idea what he's like, I don't know him and I'm not trying to judge him either. Guy was unbelievable on the field...it was amazing watching him play.

We have had some amazing players (I could list 20) and they all went to the NFL...some are still there balling out...but every time he was on the field he was the best player IMO. At the point of attack he could run past people, in the first 2-3 steps he's at full speed. I've never seen that in many players. He got north and south but was reckless running the ball...he would lower his head and push the ball up field.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone run away from a defense like Harvin. Like he’d run 30 yards clear of the d backs and still be accelerating when he hit the end zone. Spurrier said he thought he’d run for 200 yards a game in the SEC if he were a full time RB.

Him and Dalvin were similar in that regard.

I agree. I think Dalvin is a pretty good comparison. They were like slightly different versions of each other. Percy a little faster and Dalvin a little more rugged, but Dalvin would run by you and Percy would run over you. Both great great college players. Very similar early pro careers too. Hopefully Dalvin stretches it out a little better. But Percy had 4 real good years and made a couple plays in a Super Bowl win (where he was still by far the fastest dude on the field).

Best 1st step ever. Hit a hole like no other.

He didn't need a hole. He barely needed a crease.

I remember one game, I think it was Miss State, he lined up in the backfield and took a handoff. The hole couldn't have been two feet wide. From the sideline camera it looked like he ghosted his way through. They had to show it from the endzone to even see the hole.

Oh, and he blew out the other side going about 100 mph, ran between the linebackers and through the secondary like they were standing still for a 60+ yard touchdown.

He was so amazing, he made Chris Rainey look average, and he might be a top 5 all time athlete of all those who have come through UF.

Percy and Reggie Bush are the closet comparisons to anything I’ve seen in college. Those 2 guys were just on another level. They just seemed to be a step ahead of everybody else. With Harvin and somebody already said it but his “first step” was the most explosive I’ve ever seen.

I dont see that comparison at all. Both great players but very different imo other than speed.
