Pediatric COVID19

Yeah but I defended you because I don’t think you’re an anti-VAXXerI think your pro freedom of choice.

But you have to make this Place is extremely hard right so the middle here it’s not the middle of the road, LOL
I am, and I know that has some pretty terrible consequences during a pandemic. But some things are actually worth dying for, debatable if this specific instance is, but I feel strongly when a scary precedent is set.

I also don't define this place. And I'd say we're about 60/40 - 70/30 on ideologies here. The "left" took a hit when our buddy @sadgator disappeared, but that side of the argument is pretty well represented. But the overall number of active posters is pretty light.

The issue is their arguments suck and when confronted they lie, obfuscate and then disappear. Almost always happens in that order. It makes them look like they aren't out there in as many numbers, but they are.

I'm not so sure this is a right or left issue. In fact I'm pretty sure that it isn't.

I know MANY staunch conservatives who are vaccinated and conversely i know a few liberals who are not. In my defense, that "few" is a big number because there just aren't many libs here.

To vaccinate or to not vaccinate goes beyond political affiliation. That's beyond question imho.

Same, it's not a political issue for most people, it's a health issue. Risky either way.

Politics needs to get out of our health care and abortion.

I don’t think vaccination as a writer left Issue but it’s a polarizing issue. Half my ICU is filled with African-Americans in the other half is filled with ultra conservative and Pentecostals, is what it is

My dad is ultra conservative and he, along with my mom, were vaccinated very early on.

Anecdotal I know but it was a measured approach for him. He's 76 (she's 74 and late stage Alzheimer's) so the rewards outweighed the risks.

Not a bad point anecdotally but looking at the state vax levels it appears red states aren’t as compliant. But that’s sort of the nature of red states.

I do know a massive west coast liberal who is taking ivermectin prophylacticly and won’t be getting the shot. And my dad is a super conservative and he won’t let me visit until I’m vaxxed.

Same

And my dad and his GF both got Covid and recovered.

Hes 76, fat, prediabetic, has had two major heart surgeries and is sedentary. He was flu like for 3-4 days.

Fair point. It's clearly not unattached to political affiliation but it's also pretty clear that said affiliation isn't the last word on the subject.

Your point still stands, however.

Wow...that had to of scared the hell out of you.

How did he come through it so well? There's so much more to the randomness of who it kills and who it doesn't than we know yet.
