Paxton Lynch or Skyler Mornhinweg?

LOL, this is great. I did not know that we took Skyler Mornhinweg over Paxton Lynch.

"The Gators were interested in Lynch, as well as quarterback Skyler Mornhinweg, who was committed to Penn State at the time.
Florida ultimately signed Mornhinweg (he later transferred to Columbia) but did offer Lynch a chance to be a walk-on, which he declined."

I mean that’s all well and good but who was going to develop him?

He seems to be the kind of kid that needs the right coaching.

Fuentewprked wonders with him but Denver (which has plenty of their own issues to be fair) hasn’t been able to get much out of him.

Good point on Fuente. But still...I never judge a what a QB could have done in college by what he has/hasn't done in the NFL. Denver also couldn't do as much as they wanted with Tebow. The Saints with Danny...the 9ers with Spurrier...the Bears with Rex/Shane so on so fourth our best ever QB's were never All Pros.

Natural talent and all else Paxton was light years ahead of Skylar. Even if nobody good was around to develop him...they had more to work with in Paxton vs Skyler.

Thing crazy though Skyler had a much better offer list vs Lynch. Believe Bama offered him Skyler. So many missed on this evaluation.

Still sucks though we've let many a great QB leave the state over the years and had junk results at the position.

True....our last 2 coaches have been CLUELESS when it comes to developing and offense...much less a QB and all that comes with that. Mullen will be a breath of fresh air and he's hungry. I like it!
