Last year even though we spanked eastern Michigan, it took 45 attempts for 248 for an average of 5.5 yards
Yesterday we has 37 drop backs for 382 yards with an average of 10.2!
Last year even as we were killing eastern michigan everything was so dink and dunk
This year there were a lot of WR screens for sure. But I'm less worried about the success of those plays because there was significant downfield passing as well.
Go gators! The qb race is close. Grier throws a better ball but he was clearly just rocketing it to his first read. That could be disasterous against better defenses and lead to multiple INT games. Grier may be predetermining where he throws the ball. Treons arm is a lot weaker but when he runs he's looking to throw downfield. Treon also missed a couple wide open guys though.
Both guys played extremely well. Don't think anyone played well enough to win the spot. I want to see this competition continue into Kentucky.
