Reported facts seem to be very similar to what was reported in Paris: multiple shooters with rifles wearing ski masks and what appear to be tactical vests/body armor.

What we know so far:


  • Policeresponded to reports of an active shooter at an Inland Regional Centerin San Bernardino, Calif., Wednesday afternoon.
  • At least 14 people are dead and 14others injured, policesaid.
  • Witnesses said they saw up to three gunmen, according to police. A manhunt is under way.
  • The suspects were wearingwhat appeared to be ski masks and vests, witnesses said.
  • Witnesses also said the alleged gunmen left the scene in a black SUV.
 
And the leftist buffoons, who tell us not to judge all muslims by the acts of terrorists, are calling for gun control within minutes of this story hitting the news.

12:13 p.m. - Riverside police dispatchers have broadcast a general advisory that the suspects involved in the shootings in San Bernardino may have fled in a black GMC Yukon, heading northbound on Waterman Avenue, roughly 40 minutes ago.

The broadcast indicated there were unconfirmed reports the suspects were male and of Middle Eastern origin, “armed with AK-47s and wearing body armor.”

The broadcast was part of a region-wide alert issued by the San Bernardino Police Department.

San Bernardino had an estimated 2013 population of 213,708.

The message is being sent that you're not safe in small city.
 
Up to this point, young white men trapped in their basement playing video games for years have been doing these acts. I will hold judgement until the facts come out.

You mean like the Ft Hood shooting? The VA reporter shooting? The Marine recruiting office shooting?
 
I've usually felt somewhat more secure than others since I carry; however, I'm not sure how much I could defend my family in an attack like this. "... three heavily armed gunmen "on a mission" -- and garbed in body armor -- burst into a San Bernardino social services facility and murdered in cold blood at least 14 people attending an office holiday party."

Not sure how effective this would be:

Many people who carry are the ones who shouldn't have a gun. That poor father in Pasco Co. got blown away by an ex cop over text messages and popcorn. ( stand your ground as he felt threatened by buttered popcorn? ) Gosh if he didn't have a gun a wife would have a husband and a young girl a dad. It's one thing to carry, it's another to shoot someone. So, they now are trying to allow OPEN carry in Florida. So, 4 middle Eastern looking men are coming towards you with side arms on each. Would you avoid them? Profile them? Hum, strange how that sounds huh?

We don't need millions and millions openly carrying guns. We don't need easy access to guns. We need tougher gun laws. We need strict access. And who besides law enforcement needs an automatic.gun?

I love how all these 2nd Amendment people will come out after this as they always do. . Everyone is tough until they have to pull a trigger. 2. Crazy people can take a class and pass a background check. It's all defending my rights until your child, wife, husband or relatives get killed by a gun. These mass shootings are weekly now. Still say are gun Laws are O.K.?

Answer: Potential 'easy target' victims.

Individual Private Citizens: In the U.S. are responsible for their own initial self defense.

Per the U.S. Supreme Court: Police are to investigate possible crimes and pursue perpetrators for arrest and delivery to the court system.

* Therefore you cannot sue the Police for not protecting you from the criminals. o_O

So you bump into.some big weightlifting type and he punches you. So it's ok to put 6-7 rounds into him? I hate people like you who say they are more secure. It's your way of liquid courage. How many of these do we have until something is done.

Those also, but Columbine 2 tandem shooters, Viginia Tech shooter, The Sandy Hook shooter, James Holmes blowing away the whole theatre in Colorado......those shooters. Distorted, deranged, white guys!

If so, watch for a massive response from the CIA Black Ops crew. Hopefully, Obama and the Liberal Left is shocked into reality
and will finally be forced to take a stand that is in the best interest of America.

ISIS is bad and must be destroyed. Our governments tepid response on this issue has been an embarrassment, especially when you consider historic U.S. policy in that region.

Islam, in some elemental forms, is a very dangerous religion for many of reasons and should be treated with enormous skepticism.

Gun control is good, we need more of it. It is way too easy for idiots and nutjobs to get guns. Goobers with guns will do more harm than good when it comes to armed conflict.

A. You don't know me. You "know" the igloo persona I choose to perpetuate on a message board.

B. I don't engage in conflict...I don't even make eye contact on the road when someone is engaging in "road rage" towards me. I have been in verbal altercations with an aggressor and never once positioned for my weapon.

C. Carrying a gun is NOT for offensive use and when you carry you are responsible for your actions; even more so (IMO) than someone not carrying. It's not an excuse or reason to walk around like the "tough" guy you imagine concealed carriers are. In fact, I'd venture to say you don't know that many people around you are armed and that's the way it should be.

D. I pray I NEVER have to use my gun...EVER.

Now, in answer to your question, if I bump into some "big weightlifting type" and he punches me..."if" I'm able to walk away, that is what I will do. The ONLY reason to draw a weapon is if my life is in danger. Being punched by an asshole is not that reason.

Lastly, I spent 20 years in the military (a profession of arms) and several of those years deployed and armed...even still I was required to adhere to a strict background check before being issued a concealed carry license. The issue doesn't rest with those who go through the process legally and who are well trained/responsible.

Why don't you just pass laws that say that the Islamic Fanatics (all infidels must die) are now required to turn in their guns??? That's sure to cure the problems with ISIS..... :rolleyes:

And that's the same good that it will do to pass gun laws that the FREAKIN' CRIMINALS are going to ignore. o_O

Suggestion: Put a sign out in your front yard that tells every passerby that THIS HOUSE DOESN'T BELIEVE IN OWNING GUNS, and we'll all watch what happen to you in the near future. Charity (and idiocy) begins at home,,,, right? o_O

My point is that I won't cry WOLF because the media has got us inundated with an overload of ISIS. There are a lot more freaks in our country that have absolutely nothing to do with being muslim, or being a radical muslim. There are people that are just plum nuts, or living out their video game fantasies! By the way man, what's wrong with getting the facts first???

If you practice a little bit, HEAD SHOTS are really not that difficult to make if you're inside of 25 yards, (and out to 70-80 yards with a standard issue Colt .45 auto if you're good). o_O
Police are trained to shoot for center mass (strength of the body armor), but soldiers will shoot whatever part that comes up first from behind the wall or car.... ;)
IF you're afraid, or if you just don't want to kill them, and you're covered up yourself, you can always take them down by shooting them in the foot, (hurts like hell too). :cool:

Wasn't saying you were crying wolf, I was referring to the media. But your also looking at one specific group which happens to be Radical Islamists. And if it turns out to be muslims hitting us like this with military type tactics in the U.S, then I will adjust accordingly and watch everyone! The fact is our Country is changing, and when society dumps God, this is what you end up with!
