Watching a futball match right now, Barcelona game.

So it's live - woot! Some observations:

There is no crowd...they have a graphic up that covers the seats most of the time...it looks like an old school Madden football graphic. You don't see individual people, it's more of a haze effect. Although this sounds off putting it's way better than having empty seats.

Sounds is pipped in. This is a must! It sounds off putting however if there was no noise there'd be a big problem.

Everyone has a mask outside of the head coach. This could be a problem in football - in soccer the players aren't sub'd in/out very much so the players are all in the dugout. If you had a football player putting a mask on in FL heat, that'd be an issue I'd think.

Good to see sports are able to happen even given the limitations.

Forca Barca!

Highlights - you can hear the crowd and the graphic-fans lol. The sound REALLY helped imo - just background noise which was nice. In a college atmosphere, this might be tougher to duplicate the "home team" feel of the fans...dunno. And although the graphics are intentionally not great...when you see some of the other camera angles with no fans in the seats, you see it's way better than looking at empty chairs.

I also thought the commentators did a GREAT job - the game "felt" like a real game with fans in the seats.

Barca is struggling a bit right now. I took a trip to Barcelona last summer and visited the Camp Nou

Amazing how they can control the ball with their feet, pass it around and constant for 90 plus minutes.... nice match

I know soccer is the most popular sport in the world, but I just can't watch it unless it's the U.S. in the Olympics or the Florida Gators playing. And even then I can't get too excited about it. Not taking away the talent of the players or how popular it is worldwide. Just not for me.

I started watching 5-6 years ago - it reminds me of playing full court press all the time in basketball. Not that quick of course per se as the field is a lot bigger but it's how each team's angles change that's interesting. And both teams are pretty much on O and D at the same time.

It's kind of like golf, nascar, etc. - once you start to learn the personalities and strategies you really get into it.

One piece of advice if you want to give it a try: find a big team like Barcelona, Man U, Real to follow - they are always a top club because they have money.

Barca dropped more points today. The coach is going to get sacked soon I would suspect.

Not a fan of golf or NASCAR either, I'm afraid. I'm a fanatic about all Gator sports, but watch a ton of football, college & pro, lots of college basketball, lots of college baseball and softball, some NBA & MLB, plus Gator gymnastics, volleyball, tennis and lacrosse. My wife of 45 years is not a sports fan and if I took up any more sports to add to what I already watch, I could be jeopardizing a very good, long-term relationship! :)

when I was 24 I went back to college to get my masters. My room mate was a huge Man U fan (had a flask and a wrist tattoo....watched them every morning they were on...which was weird because he was from little old Mentone Alabama but so be it).

I tried to watch it with him several times. I "got it" but it was impossible for me to get into. And I do like baseball and NASCAR, which, I understand, are slow sports, unless you understand the strategy.

I could not, for the life of me, get into it. And I actually tried.

Like most things, you have to get interested as a child to have interest as an adult. I grew up in the Tampa Bay area; we had the Rowdies and I was a big fan. Still like watching soccer.
