Only took Biden 8 months to eff up things so bad, Dollar Tree has to raise prices

I have no idea what in the hell you are talking about. You talk in riddles. What exactly was I supposed to provide? Gotcha! I just assumed you understood the Jimmy Carter reference and his relationship with inflation as part of his misery index. My apology in assuming you knew a little American history. My mistake.
I am not talking in riddles. I asked you directly, what have Biden done that is increasing inflation? Which policy?

I told you it was his economic policy. Are you blind to the amount of money he has put into this economy and wants to do trillions more. If your thinking is that our current inflation situation has little to do with the president and his policies, I can't help you.

Ever hear of Jimmy Carter. If not, google him and see one of the factors to his downfall.
Carter wrote his own political obituary with his speeches...tone deaf ...LOL

Watch him grin every time he talks about sacrifice. blah blah blah Comprehensive, blah National, Burden, Fairly Permanent shortage blah blah

And Mr Rogers' Cardigan sitting by a nice cozy wood fire says set your thermostat 55 degrees at night!

Which policy particularly? You're making a board statement.

Reality is, Biden still haven't implemented his economic policy. The democrats are currently fighting over that right now.

Lastly, the inflation is directly related to the shutdown and covid. Companies were shutdown and were unable to make supplies or not enough. Then you have companies struggling with hiring people for various, all tied to covid. That led to slower production or no production of supplies at all, so companies are charging more to make up for that loss.

I get you don't like Biden, but blaming him for this is laughable. Afghanistan, the border is definitely on him but inflation isn't on him at all.

What have he changed that led to inflation?
Not his fault - current inflation is due to many factors including the stimulus during Trump’s presidency. Interest rates being low is another facotr

But 1.2T + 3.5T (CBO says it actually costs $5.5T) of pork filled spending is going to require a shitload of printing to fund. That printing will drive inflation higher. It’s like carrying 5gal cans of gas into a burning house.

I don't blame Biden or Trump. It's because of Covid. This is the bad hand we all were dealt. Sometimes we need to slow down with having to blame someone and realize the tough situation they both were put in.

Bidens energy policy is leading to higher energy cost which drives up the cost of goods and services. We saw this before the housing crash of 2008 when oil went through the roof but the crash mitigated the inflation. The vaxx mandate is NOT incentivizing people to go back to work and companies are offering huge wage increases to try and coax people back to work. Those increases will drive inflation. Dems with Trumps assent jacked up unemployment bennies to absurd levels and the current spending schemes are on steroids. My daughter got $1000 for CARES via her school. She lives at home and has no incentive to even work for me at the arena let alone anywhere else. Worker shortages lead to goods shortages. Then there is the 250/mo child tax credit dump and pump. I wanted to opt out but you have to prove your identity to a 3rd party that the I R S subbed out to. You have to give them a photo of your DL and your SS! Can we say you are screwed if they get hacked?

Orangeclad, I mentioned earlier. Try this. Spending can cause inflation. Rumors of spending can cause inflation. The threat of spending can cause inflation. There are those among us who are scared loony over a $3.5 trillion inflation spending plan. The Senate hasn't signed on yet. Two sane Democrats may save us.

I recommend American Marxism by Mark Levin. Using smaller words, the 1910 English version The Communist Manifesto by Marx and Engels is informative. I don't know if our slow will get it. I swear Bernie Sanders is the second coming of Engels.

Socialism is the rest stop on the road to communism. Biden is now adopting much Sanders policies. Note all the $3.5 trillion stay at home perks. Welcome to New Venezuela.

Did you read what I posted?

We agree inflation is a problem - the question is do we spend ~6T (and print the paper to fund most of it)?

What’s in it is less important than the sheer size of it.

Absolutely. No worries, the extra money people and companies have just lying around will more than cover the tab.

Furthermore, it's not fair if people or organizations continue to make a profit from their hardwork and ideas if they already have a lot of money. 🙄

Not coincidence, but certainly you can’t point to any of his policies that have contributed to inflation.

Unless, of course, you’re talking about the continued economic growth and employment gains. Is that what you mean?
Gas prices up about $1.00 a gallon. Woiuld be more but "hiden" Biden begging OPEC daily to pump more gas to keep prices from skyrocketing. That is all on senile corrupt Joe Biden and his green new deal policy..

Do you have any idea what drives gasoline prices? Let me know and I can help you out.

Hint. It has nothing to do with the GND. Your media is lying to you.

Good ole Jimmy. I remember a guy at work at that time had just bought his first home, a modest little 1200 sq/ft tract house. I asked him what his interest rate was....... 18%!

I'll pitch in and help you dork. Supply and demand. What happens when the supply dries up due to reduced pipelines, limits on refineries available to process oil. regulations preventing new oil drilling? Adding to the misery, worldwide demand increases and OPEC limits production which increases domestic prices as well since oil is a global commodity. Domestic production only partially keeps a lid on our prices. When Trump is reelected, I'll suggest to him to impose an export tariff on oil. :p

So what's your number? It won't be 3.5 trillion.
That’s only one bill

the $1.2T is still in play, and the CBO estimates the $3.5T will actually cost $5.5T even though joe said “it’s paid for”…so the real number might be $6.7T.

I don’t have a number - I can’t wrap my head around either bill. They’re massive piles of bullshit pork with misleading names. Typical liberal socialism. This is the govt trying to inflate the currency to help offset its massive debt load.

We need an infrastructure bill. Everyone knows our infrastructure is in bad shape. Don't be against it just because it's a democrat led bill. That's weak....now the other bill is debatable. Not a big fan of everything in it, like free college.

It's paid for by shady deals we'll never hear about. I can't believe how the media was so adamant that PDT be transparent but they sweep everything under the rug since Biden assumed duties.

The 1.2 trillion is infrastructure. The BS(C) 3.5 trillion is "social" infrastructure porkulus. The leftards are so nuts they threaten to kill the 1.2 unless they get the 3.5. Those retards, I'm laughing at this. Circular firing squad. 😂

I'm assuming you knew this? Or not? ;)

Anybody catch that stupid jerk Psaki taking a swipe at house republicans "for not having the courage" to help get the 1.2 tril infrastructure bill passed. That is rich. So even when you have democrat loons holding a good bill hostage with their version of a 2 year old's tantrum, she finds a way to blame republicans. That woman just looks more ridiculous day after day defending this s**t show.

A crap load of this bill isn't infrastructure.

You continue to tell us not to be against stuff because it's from the left and to stop being against liberalism for the sake of conservatism.

Stop defending an infrastructure bill because we need infrastructure when an unbelievable amount of the bill has NOTHING to do with infrastructure.

This is when I ask, what's in the bill that's so bad. I know it's not truly paid for but what's make it nothing to do with infrastructure?

IMHO, everything not infrastructure related that's in an infrastructure bill is "bad."

I hate when Republicans add pork to otherwise good bills so obviously I feel the same when the left does it.

BTW, and it's been a minute since I read up on it, but close to half of the bill is unrelated to actual infrastructure. That's a problem.

Dude, are you not aware of your surroundings? 😂 The Dimtard 3 trillion is a bunch of Green New Deal, Dimtard socialism. More free shit, more delusional global warming vomit.
Honestly, I don't know how some of the posters here sleep with themselves at night going along with this BS. That, or either you just don't care to learn or be aware.😂

What's in the $3.5 Trillion Democratic Proposal

The Democratic FY2022 Budget Resolution Agreement Framework memorandum is designed to enact President Biden's Build Back Better agenda. This proposal, often referred to as an investment in human infrastructure, is far-reaching and ambitious. It lists the following amounts and areas to be addressed:9

$135 billion for the Committee on Agriculture Nutrition and Forestry. Funding to be used to address forest fires, reduce carbon emissions, and address drought concerns.

$332 billion for the Banking Committee. Including investments in public housing, the Housing Trust Fund, housing affordability, and equity and community land trusts.

$198 billion for the Energy and Natural Resources Committee. This would develop clean energy.

$67 billion for the Environment and Public Works Committee. These monies would fund low-income solar and other climate-friendly technologies.

$1.8 trillion for the Finance Committee. This part of the bill is for investments in working families, the elderly, and the environment. It includes a tax cut for Americans making less than $400,000 a year, lowering the price of prescription drugs, and ensuring the wealthy and large corporations pay their fair share of taxes.

$726 billion for the Health, Labor, Education, and Pensions Committee. This addresses universal pre-K for 3- and 4-year-olds, childcare for working families, tuition-free community college, funding for historically black colleges and universities, and an expansion of the Pell Grant for higher education.

$37 billion for the HSGAC Committee. This would electrify the federal vehicle fleet, electrify and rehab federal buildings, improve cybersecurity infrastructure, reinforce border management, invest in green-materials procurement, and invest in resilience.

$107 billion for the Judiciary Committee. These funds address establishing "lawful permanent status for qualified immigrants."

$20.5 billion for the Indian Affairs Committee. This addresses Native American health programs and facilities, education programs and facilities, housing programs, energy programs, resilience and climate programs, BIA programs and facilities, Native language programs, and the Native Civilian Climate Corps.

$25 billion for the Small Business Committee. This provides for small business access to credit, investment, and markets.

$18 billion for the Veterans Affairs Committee. This funds upgrades to veteran facilities.

$83 billion for the Commerce Committee. This goes to investments in technology, transportation, research, manufacturing, and economic development. It provides funding for coastal resiliency, healthy oceans investments, including the National Oceans and Coastal Security Fund and the National Science Foundation research and technology directorate.
