CLIFF NOTES POSTED LOWER DOWN
This is a long about way of sharing what I can being very vague on purpose b/c most of what I was finally told on this topic was told in confidence.
Look folks, one thing you need to understand about the SEC West, Mississippi, and Alabama.
Alabama and Alabama football dominates everything w/in a 300 mile radius of Bryant-Denny, if not more. When ANYONE in their sphere of influence starts to openly compete with them in both recruiting and by winning on the field, there are literally hundreds of thousands of pissed off Bammers.
Why do I know so much about about Bammers? My father was a Bammer...........albeit the most well educated Bammer possibly ever, he was, none-the-less, a card carrying 2nd ave South 1950-60's B-ham Legion field attending Vulcan visiting Howard College graduate BAMMER. He had kids later in life and I grew up on this crap in the Bear haydays of the late 70s.
Now Bammer is a unique breed. All a Bammer has that gives their life self meaning and worth is............Alabama Football. When Bama is on top, they consider themselves as being on top no matter how many cinder blocks are holding up their "home" in the woods. When that is threatened they become very dangerous. Don't believe me, ask the Auburn oak trees.
Bammers feed and support every industry in the Bammersphere. That means the beat writers for every sports page, newspaper, TV channel, magazine, and so on in the greater Bammersphere is 1000% influenced by Bammerism. Many of the writers are barely more than Bammers that can read and cipher.
THE POINT of this is to let those that were interested in what's "really" going on at Ole Miss know that, while I am sure the rules are bent at Ole Miss just like they are just about everywhere, and while I personally know that a few green handshakes have happened, the MAJORITY of the "violations" brought up recently occurred at Ole Miss many years back. The article was writing BY A BAMMER in the Bammersphere for one simple reason, Bammers feel threatened by Ole Miss right now. Back to back wins over Bama for the first time in the history of Ole Miss and several good recruiting classes in a row have them scared, and nothing scares a Bammer more than their one thing in life, Alabama football, not being on top, especially in its own area. I mean, image your one thing in life being taken from you and you look up and realize that your bass boat cost more than your home.............you know.
So, the long and the short of it is this, all the talk about "ole miss" violations is just that, talk pushed by a Bammer for Bammers with little RECENT substance behind it.
Now, if the NCAA looks close enough at Ole Miss, will they find somethings................yup........but, maybe not quite as much as some on here and elsewhere believe. Much of this, like the picture of the recruit and the dollar bills, comes from Bammer sources.........sometimes several layers removed. And if the NCAA looks close at Ole Miss their are going find part of Bama's recruiting "network" of bagmen as well.
For example, if the NCAA were to ask Tony Conner who offered him more money to play for them, Alabama might not like what he tells them.
