How long will Billy leave DJ out there on one leg if the game gets out of hand knowing he can beat FSU?
Lane Kiffin teams are notoriously known for being soft. By that I mean teams that are physical (Like Kentucky) tend to do well against Kiffin. Fortunately for Kiffin, Florida is not physical.

They didnt look too damn soft sacking the sh!t out of Carson Beck 5 times and making his life miserable and Georgia is as physical as they come. This isnt the same team that played Kentucky in September. They are (2) 4th downs and something from being 10-0 and #1 in the country.Lane Kiffin teams are notoriously known for being soft. Respectfully disagree.Fortunately for Kiffin, Florida is not physical.
Georgia is not physical this year. Along the lines of scrimmage they have taken a big step back. Ole Miss has two losses, and when the season ends in 2 weeks, they will have played only 2 ranked teams. We've played better for sure, but LSU controlled the ball most of the game. We had 7 sacks, but most of the game the D struggled to get off the field, especially on 3rd down. No, we are not physical at all.Respectfully disagree.
Sans the Texas game, Florida’s D has played very tough and physical from Tennessee on.
sadgator expects to see the same this weekend.
Please. Mrs. sadgator is (2) French 75’s and something away from being a raging nymphomaniac. They are (2) 4th downs and something from being 10-0 and #1 in the country.
Stop right there…We had 7 sacks…
Bingo!. There are a dozen teams that can say we are a few plays away from being undefeated...Please. Mrs. sadgator is (2) French 75’s and something away from being a raging nymphomaniac.
Get outta here with that sh!t.
LOL!! Sacks are not necessary an indication of physicality. Rushing yards, time of possession, 3rd down stops, etc. Sacks are like brushing up against Mrs. Sad's backside, it happens but not physical.Stop right there…
Go ponder existence and the meaning of life for a few hours…
Then come back and revisit what that actually means…
Miami is the only team that can say they were a few plays away from being 5-4.Bingo!. There are a dozen teams that can say we are a few plays away from being undefeated...

Ole Miss defense is fast off the edge. Their D coordinator does a good job mixing it up. We need to get our running game rolling. Run right at their ends.
They have the best run defense in the league. We need to get the run game going to slow down the pass rush. Surprising their pass defense is 12th. Secondary is their weakness, but pass rush is a strength. Are they able to protect Princely if you run right at him. Ole Miss fans say that isn't an issue but my guess if it isnt then they have a good run disruptor lined up right beside him.
They are only giving up like 2.8 yards a rush average and Ole Miss leads the country in both sacks (46) and tackles for loss (103) this season You keep the QB on his ass who is already injured and stop the run then the secondary can sit back and eat popcorn. They have the best run defense in the league. 3 matchups that will define Ole Miss at Florida (and a predication)
Ole Miss is a 10-point favorite at Florida. Neil Blackmon analyzes the key matchups that matter most before predicting a final score.www.saturdaydownsouth.com
Dart enters the Florida game the No. 2-ranked quarterback in the Power 4, per PFF’s quarterback grade system. He leads the SEC in passing yards, passing efficiency, yards per attempt and touchdown passes. You know our true freshman QB is averaging over 18 yards a completion. I think that is even more than Dart or any other QB in the country. If he can avoid the rush some it might be a good game.
Florida’s pass protection has improved in 2024. Through six games this season, the Gators have allowed 30 pressures and eight sacks (Mertz). In 2023, Florida allowed 126 pressures and 39 Mertz sacks. We are at the halfway point of the season, which means the Gators are on pace to significantly improve in both statistical categories.Crazy stat you have never believed after the Miami game. We are averaging getting sacked 1.4 times a games this season which is # 34 in the country. Starting with the KY game we are averaging getting sacked just 1.25 times a game which would be #29 in the country. We averaged 3.5 sacks a game last season. We still have a real weakness at right tackle but it isn't the crazy disaster it was when Waites was starting there. Hopefully Ole Miss doesn't blow those numbers up this Saturday.
I think that draws and mis-directions would work better. Their DE's are their defense's strong points. Maybe an inside shovel play and use the TE's a bit more.Ole Miss defense is fast off the edge. Pro Football Focus grades Florida’s offensive unit as the 7th best in pass protection this season. The Gators ranked 62nd in 2023.
A major part of Florida’s improvement in pass protection is the increased production from their offensive tackles, particularly right tackle. The Gators moved Damieon George Jr. from right tackle to right guard in the offseason, a smart move after George allowed the most pressures (29) at UF since Jean Delance allowed 40 in 2020. New xfer-in RT Crenshaw-Dickson has improved and established himself as Florida’s every down right tackle. Through six games and 178 pass blocking snaps, Crenshaw-Dickson has allowed zero sacks and three pressures. He has allowed just one pressure over Florida’s last five games. Crenshaw-Dickson holds the 17th highest pass blocking grade in the FBS, according to PFF. Crenshaw-Dickson is also Florida’s top graded run blocking offensive tackle and ranks 35th in the FBS.
Crenshaw-Dickson holds the 17th highest pass blocking grade in the FBS, according to PFF.I have watched Right Tackle some in recent games and Dickson has gotten whipped quite a few times but Lagway had a good pocket presence and moved to avoid big trouble.

Of course, you are allowed to think anything that you choose to.......
Good ole Cousin Eddie bubble screens. Haven't seen much of those since EW3 got injured.PFF grades are a joke on some things. Not sure but if the QB isn't officially strongly pressured they probably don't nail the Tackle for getting whipped on pass protection. I watched Dickson get whipped bad a few times the past few weeks. PFF is the same place that said Franks was one of the best QBs under pressure a few weeks in a row because he would run out of the pocket being chased and then complete a pass one yard past the line of scrimmage which did nothing to help the team really more than throwing it away would have.
I have thought all year why dont we use a TE moreI think that draws and mis-directions would work better. Their DE's are their defense's strong points. Maybe an inside shovel play and use the TE's a bit more.
But we'll see how it goes

I will be shocked, although pleasantly shocked, if UF wins the game. Ole Miss' defense dominated Georgia and have one of the best rushing derfenses in the country. Neither LSU nor Kentucky got 100 yards running the ball. While our defensive front 7 is much deeper and better than in the past couple of years, our secondary is still a mess and I expect Jaxson Dart to pick us apart. If Lagway can scramble and run some that will help our offense, but his completion percentage is low and we need to get 1st downs and increase our time of possession significantly in order limit Ole miss possessions, as well as hit a bunch of big plays to pull of the upset. I'm not optimistic.
They are just simply going to score more than us, their strengths are directly facing our weaknesses everywhere.. They're coming off a bye and got healthy, their front line is going to just be too much for Lagway to keep getting the ball out on routes the other team jumps and always know are coming.. The only real chance in this game is if we actually do what LSU did to us keeping the ball and with the ground game.. Also our defense was on the field almost 100 snaps a week ago, all the things add up just don't favor Florida. Dart would have to give us the ball 2-4 times to make this game level to give us a chance just strictly looking at the game on paper.
