Lane Kiffin teams are notoriously known for being soft. By that I mean teams that are physical (Like Kentucky) tend to do well against Kiffin. Fortunately for Kiffin, Florida is not physical.
They didnt look too damn soft sacking the sh!t out of Carson Beck 5 times and making his life miserable and Georgia is as physical as they come. This isnt the same team that played Kentucky in September. They are (2) 4th downs and something from being 10-0 and #1 in the country.

Sans the Texas game, Florida’s D has played very tough and physical from Tennessee on.
sadgator expects to see the same this weekend.
Georgia is not physical this year. Along the lines of scrimmage they have taken a big step back. Ole Miss has two losses, and when the season ends in 2 weeks, they will have played only 2 ranked teams. One of the easier SEC schedules.
We've played better for sure, but LSU controlled the ball most of the game. We had 7 sacks, but most of the game the D struggled to get off the field, especially on 3rd down. No, we are not physical at all.

LOL!! Sacks are not necessary an indication of physicality. Rushing yards, time of possession, 3rd down stops, etc. Sacks are like brushing up against Mrs. Sad's backside, it happens but not physical.

Def give Ole Miss the edge and I'd say UF has a 30% chance to win...but with DJ, all bets are off. That guy helps everyone's play get better.
I actually think Ole Miss is playing as good/better ball than anyone right now. If we go +2 in turnovers, should be very close.

2 things scare me about this game. Ole Miss D line especially if Lagway isn't to where he will get some first downs by running the ball and the Ole Miss QBs running ability as we seem to get killed by the QBs known for scrambling for 1st downs. It's hard to see a win here if Lagway is as limited running as he was in the LSU game. Ole Miss only has one real good cover DB according to their fans so Lagway can hopefully burn them deep a few times.
Crazy stat you have never believed after the Miami game. We are averaging getting sacked 1.4 times a games this season which is # 34 in the country. Starting with the KY game we are averaging getting sacked just 1.25 times a game which would be #29 in the country. We averaged 3.5 sacks a game last season. We still have a real weakness at right tackle but it isn't the crazy disaster it was when Waites was starting there. Hopefully Ole Miss doesn't blow those numbers up this Saturday.
Ole Miss defense is fast off the edge. Their D coordinator does a good job mixing it up. We need to get our running game rolling. Run right at their ends.
Are they able to protect Princely if you run right at him. Ole Miss fans say that isn't an issue but my guess if it isnt then they have a good run disruptor lined up right beside him.
They have the best run defense in the league. We need to get the run game going to slow down the pass rush. Surprising their pass defense is 12th. Secondary is their weakness, but pass rush is a strength.

You know our true freshman QB is averaging over 18 yards a completion. I think that is even more than Dart or any other QB in the country. If he can avoid the rush some it might be a good game.

I think that draws and mis-directions would work better. Their DE's are their defense's strong points. Maybe an inside shovel play and use the TE's a bit more.
But we'll see how it goes....

I have watched Right Tackle some in recent games and Dickson has gotten whipped quite a few times but Lagway had a good pocket presence and moved to avoid big trouble.

(Going by the Gator's official site stats page, it was 6, not 7 sacks) Prior to the game against the Gators, Tigers had only allowed 13 sacks in 9 games. In turn, LSU and Kentucky dropped Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart a combined 10 times.
In the Gators vs LSU game, the Gator-D had 5 different players with a Sack, while 'on fire' ILB Shemar James had 2 Sacks, for 6 total in the game. (I thought Sapp had 2 sacks, but not according to the Gator's stat sheet?)

QB-dt Dart and the Ole Miss RB's like to run wide when they run the ball. The Gator-D needs to keep that in mind this week. The Rebels will enter this game on offense, leading the SEC in both yards and points, Florida matches up well defensively. >>> LSU came to the SWAMP at #2 SEC in Yds & Pts. They left the SWAMP with 1 TD and 3 FG's (Held #2 in the SEC in Yds & Pts to just 16 Pts)....
Note: Punter Jeremy Crawshaw is named a Finalist for the Ray Guy Award. Crawshaw and DT Cam Jackson also received and accepted Senior Bowl invites. While Myles Graham had the highest PFF grade (77.6) for a tFr LB in week 12. Additionally, PFF gave Myles an 82.7 tackling grade.
The Gator's have a chance to knock them off. Be nice to return the ill-favor for when they stopped TT from getting the undefeated season....

Of course, you are allowed to think anything that you choose to.......
PFF grades are a joke on some things. Not sure but if the QB isn't officially strongly pressured they probably don't nail the Tackle for getting whipped on pass protection. I watched Dickson get whipped bad a few times the past few weeks. PFF is the same place that said Franks was one of the best QBs under pressure a few weeks in a row because he would run out of the pocket being chased and then complete a pass one yard past the line of scrimmage which did nothing to help the team really more than throwing it away would have.
I will be shocked, although pleasantly shocked, if UF wins the game. Ole Miss' defense dominated Georgia and have one of the best rushing derfenses in the country. Neither LSU nor Kentucky got 100 yards running the ball. While our defensive front 7 is much deeper and better than in the past couple of years, our secondary is still a mess and I expect Jaxson Dart to pick us apart. If Lagway can scramble and run some that will help our offense, but his completion percentage is low and we need to get 1st downs and increase our time of possession significantly in order limit Ole miss possessions, as well as hit a bunch of big plays to pull of the upset. I'm not optimistic.
Good ole Cousin Eddie bubble screens. Haven't seen much of those since EW3 got injured.
They were showing some of Ole Miss big plays on defense getting after the QB and how they had Princely on the outside by himself. I would have ran right at him unless it was like 3rd and 8 or more. Princely was whipping the left tackles bad with that spin move. Hopefully Barber is prepared for that and doesn't get a bunch of holding calls again this game.
I am in the “would be pleasantly surprised” category as well. But everybody is talking position match ups, but you have one of the best offense minds in football against, well, our Tecmo Bowl offense. Not sure DJ can overcome the gap in coaching. Ole Piss had WR wide open all night against UGa. We shall see, but we are going to need to score to win this game.
They are just simply going to score more than us, their strengths are directly facing our weaknesses everywhere.. They're coming off a bye and got healthy, their front line is going to just be too much for Lagway to keep getting the ball out on routes the other team jumps and always know are coming.. The only real chance in this game is if we actually do what LSU did to us keeping the ball and with the ground game.. Also our defense was on the field almost 100 snaps a week ago, all the things add up just don't favor Florida. Dart would have to give us the ball 2-4 times to make this game level to give us a chance just strictly looking at the game on paper.
