Jacob LaFrance Introduced as Florida’s Director of Player Personnel
LaFrance spent three seasons with Gators Head Coach Billy Napier at Louisiana
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Florida head football coach Billy Napier announced Friday that Jacob LaFrance will serve on his staff as director of player personnel.
A native of Baton Rouge, La., LaFrance joins the Gators after spending the last three seasons with Napier at Louisiana, where he helped the Ragin’ Cajuns garner the No. 1 recruiting class in the Sun Belt Conference in consecutive years for 2019 and 2020.
Prior to Louisiana, LaFrance served in his same capacity at UTSA from 2016 to 2019, where he oversaw prospect evaluation, roster management, and assisted with NFL liaisons on visits and research, among other duties.
LaFrance spent two seasons (2014 & 2015) as a recruiting analyst at Maryland, where he oversaw day-to-day recruiting operations.
A 2012 LSU graduate, LaFrance was a personnel assistant with the Tigers from 2009-14. He played a key role in landing five top-10 recruiting classes during his time in Baton Rouge.
