The Florida Gator's signature web site, OneGatorNation.com, was honored by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences with a Webby Award, considered the "Oscars" for Internet web sites. The Gator web site was selected out of 13,000 entries to receive the prestigious award. Future student/athlete recruits, you can sample what it is to be a Gator. (rival fans,,, eat your heart out) :p

And it's not just about sports as a Gator student/athlete. UF not only leads the SEC (including Vanderbilt), but they also have a 'Top 10 in the Nation' ranking in producing Academic All-Americans.

Aubree has been chosen to the 2016 USA Women's National Team, and she will likely be drafted tonight by one of the NPF (National Pro Fastpitch) teams. She is also an All American Scholar Athlete in Telecommunications - Media & Society. YOU-GO-GIRL!!

* Hanna Rogers & Lauren Haeger were the last 2 Gator's drafted. Thank goodness that none of the Gator's 3 current pitchers (Jr/So/Fr) are eligible (Sr's only) to be drafted this year. A total of 9 Gator softball players have been drafted in past years.

There are 5 Gator seniors with a shot at being drafted to the Women's professional league tonight: Taylor Fuller - Kirsti Merritt - Aubree Munro - Taylor Schwarz - Kelsey Stewart. CBS-8 PM Good luck to them all!

Just curious about Softball can a player Redshirt like in football? I never seen it and was wondering if they can do this if they are working on their masters? In football you can do this while working on your masters if I am not mistaken.

I love watching the girls play their game, but I've not delved deeply into the intricacies of their rules.
Maybe someone else here can inform us both on that point?
