Not ONE house dem voted to ban boys from competing in GIRLS sports.

What do you mean by premature?

Just that it may or may not have a somewhat larger impact in future elections. I'm not sure the book is closed on that yet.

Maybe not...but it's all still a developing situation imo that, fair or not, is also tied into other social justice reforms so we will see how it matures over time.

Very interesting about claiming. I have a co-worker that told people he isn't sure if he's gay. Never been with a man before but won't rule it out. Of course he is young. Guess it's the new generation.

I think it's interesting as well.

We've gone from gay people being afraid to come out to it being so ok, that perhaps non-gay people are coming out to steal the spotlight. Holy crap, right? 😂

To my current knowledge. Once your gay, it's still difficult for a woman to want you, knowing you once were with men.

Woman has no issues being accepted back by men after being with women.

I think it's still like that, so being gay isn't hot but I certainly can be wrong.

Yea I don't know. And honestly I don't know that we can know that yet with this generation.

First off, it hasn't developed completely yet (they're still going through it).

Second, ain't no way I'm asking a juvenile girl if she would be willing to have sex with a formerly gay boy. 😂🤣😂

For me, the gender thing is a totally different thing than being gay. I can remember when being gay was considered fringe, and you shouldnt pay attention to it, not a big deal. Homosexuality is certainly no longer fringe. If we dont put the gender thing down like you would a rabid dog, then we will find that in 15 years it will have spread in ways we cant even imagine. I have grade school children, two of them little girls. I find the sports thing bad, but to me the worst part is that I fear my girls will be required to share womens spaces....locker rooms / restrooms / public showers with men.

Of course it could change over time, just like the trans in sports. I just don't currently seeing either of them deciding elections at this point.

I can agree that the book isn't closed yet.

Ultimately, they are scared to lose voters. The trans community is so fringe, I am not sure why they are afraid because there is zero chance the trans community runs to the Republican party.
I think that when the Supreme Court created gay marriage out of thin air, it left the VERY POWERFUL gay lobby without a cause. The lobby wasnt going to say, "mission accomplished, lets go home now", they had to find some other degenerate activity to make their cause. Then they started cutting body parts off of childen. Whatever keeps the $$$ coming in right?

I honestly don't think that gender should be a debate. It's like being dead or alive. You're male or female.

No lobbyists ever gets what they want and just stop. They always want more, just see the abortion activist.

The problem with gay marriage begins and ends with the government giving out benefits to married people.

I agree. I think where many on the left disagree is to what degree this is a problem. There are evil people on the left that love gender confusion. Others on the left want to act like its not that big of a deal. I think that the internet and social media have poured gas on this, and it is a contageon. Gender is a fundamental building block of society. If we screw this up, and dont turn back now our children will have a seriously twisted concept of gender. Family is another building block of the society. We have watered down the importance of family and look what that has done over the course of time. Look at what happens hen these people trnasition. Many of them leave their family behind. Tragic. We really need to shut this stuff down.

I respectfully disagree. However, my main point is that the gay lobby moved onto trans after gay rights was created by SCOTUS. They needed a new cash cow, and trans was it.

Bingo! So if we dont crush the trans thing NOW, they will continue to find new depths of perversion. We can disagree on taxes and regs and so forth later. Our culture needs to get the gender thing straightened out. If we dont, they WILL push for pedo's outright next. May seem wild, but they will

My kids are a bit older, obviously. I wish I had good advice for you. Since I don't, I won't pretend that I do beyond MAKE DAMN SURE that they're willing to talk to you or their mom about ANYTHING.

A boy in my daughter's middle school last year (she's a FR this year) got into serious trouble when he "pulled the tail off of a fury girl."

He thought it was an innocent prank. She was wearing a cat tail and he pulled it like I probably pulled a hundred ponytails in my day.

What he didn't know was that the "cat tail" was attached to the girl through a butt plug. When he pulled the tail, it pulled her butt plug out. Yep, a middle school girl was wearing a butt plug attached to a cat tail all day during school...and it's not terribly uncommon. WTF???

You can disagree all you want.

If marriage is a religious institution. the government has no right or power over it.

If it's a governmental institution then the government has no right to deny it to any citizen.

So again it wasn't a problem til the government got involved.

I agree with the notion that govt has no role in marriage. BUT, I do want my tax benny's though. LOL

Yeah. Times have changed for sure. Thankfully, I have blessed to be able to send my children to Catholic school. There is none of this in school. I do not allow my children screen time...no socials, no video games, no cell phone, no interent at all. We enjoy working out homestead and playing traditional board games in the evening after dinner. I am doing the best I know how, but one day they will leave the nest, thats what im concerned about...and I will have shltered tham to all of this stuff. Its hard to know whats right.

Best thing that EVER happened to me in my life.

Exactly. Not ruling it out is really odd. I was always told by the alphabet people that they are born that way.

Not a popular opinion of mine but I've always believed that this (born that way) was a defense mechanism of the choice itself. "You can't judge me, I was born this way."

Now that it is way more socially acceptable, sexual preference has naturally become more fluid....more of an open choice out of convenience.

Are people born that way? I have no idea. As a Christian and as a person who believes homosexuality is a sin, it's tempting to say that it cannot be true. But God allows people to be born and struggle with other weaknesses like addiction or anger issues for example so even by my Christian moral standards, I can't rule out that possibility. OTOH, I don't believe that God intends for said person to embrace said weakness...rather that He desires for the sinner to rise above their sin.

I have never had children, however totally sheltering children do not think is the proper call. Honest discussion and preparation I think would find better results.

I have a work mate that raised her daughters this way....sheltered then and watched them like a hawk. Well senior yr of HS...the oldest got pregnant. (another VERY funny story is WHO she got pregnant BY...a VERY famous Florida Gators brother)

I'm not the most religious person, so I'll stay away from that but "born that way" was definitely a defense mechanism. It's like, you can't judge me because of my creator. You are spot on with that, IMO.

Now it's like, it doesn’t matter if i was born this way, I can sleep with whomever I want.

That's a deep hole though, isn't it?

What business does government have in offering any benefit whatsoever to the people? In truth, none.

Yet we have social security, welfare, insurance, protected classes and now lower interest rates for the on-time payment impaired. And there are MANY others of course.

If it's available to one citizen it must be available to all

Plus you have the usual hand wringing on both sides.

My wife and I struggled with these decisions as well. We chose moderation with a great deal of spying and "invasions of privacy."

LOL...they had ZERO right to privacy and they eventually figured that out.

I don't disagree. Also I don't care if gay people get married.

Also, they shouldn't ask me my opinions on gay marriage if they don't want their feelings hurt.

FTR I had a 9pm curfew on weekends, wasn't allowed out at all on school nights, wasn't allowed to date, was pretty much told if I got caught drinking or smoking to be in my room doing my homework til I was 18. Went to church every Sunday and on all the holidays too.

Purely anecdotal, but

They chose... poorly.

My weekend curfew was 11pm and then 12a my senior year. I "earned" the extra hour through trust apparently. 😁

I wasn't allowed to go out on weekdays either but I was always involved in sports or working so I never really noticed.

I was allowed to date but they were rather meddlesome with who I dated (makes sense now...I had a thang for dem hoes). Ditto on smoking...they would have killed me.

Oddly they didn't mind if I had a beer but I needed to hide it so they could pretend they didn't notice but all that was off if I drove or if the driver was drinking. To their credit, if I was drinking and I called them for a ride, they didn't ask questions. "He wasn't feeling well." 🤣

I'm not saying your kids or jsf kids are going to turn out evil from good parenting. I don't feel like I turned out bad as my gravest sin was dropping out of the University of Florida and joining the Marines. Wanderlust and boredom is a hell of a combination.

I am saying if your kid got that fukitol in his blood not a damn thing you can do about it.

I can 100% promise you that each kid is different. I have 3 and they've all reacted differently to our house rules.

My oldest tried to kill us, I'm certain of it. She's still trying but she's 19 now so she's owning more and more of her choices. Hardest thing I've ever had to do. Not joking and the 2nd hardest thing isn't a close 2nd.

My son is the middle kid and being his parent is SO easy. He just chooses to do the right things 99% of the time. He was like that as a baby...and his older sister was just like she is today as a baby. Nature over nurture in this case.

My youngest is another girl and she's sort of in the middle. Good kid but used to being "babied." Even her defiance is different than her older sisters...more like passive resistance as opposed to active. Left to her own devices, she has always ended up where she should be when she has choices to make.
