Not surprised one bit. The powers at be at F$U were going to try anything to avoid Norvell finishing with a worse record than Willie T in year 1. As it is he has less wins but also less losses, so they can roll that into the huge asterisk that is 2020 and move on.

From a Hole good ol boy southern redneck booster club perspective the following things were accomplished:

1. Avoid beatdown against Clemson

2. Avoid loss to UVA

3. Avoid any further losses so Norvell finishes year 1 with less losses than Taggart.

4. Win some more

The following were not:

1. Make a bowl

2. Finish on a 3-game win streak

3. Finish 5-6 thus totally flipping the script on 2020 even though last 3 wins would have been Duke, Wake, lowly P5 or G5 team that made a Dec 26 bowl game.

Um...the best Wake could have done was tie ole' Willie. Also, why is a bowl mentioned in this thread? You could have just as easily titled it:
