I think in the Ramsey interview with Laura Ingraham, they discussed it squeezing the middle class. I tend to agree with this statement, and based on your post and fat man post, my famiky is in the same boat. 40+ ag chik filet, 55 on pizza for our family. We have a set budget for eating out, and this month we have exhausted it and some due to school starting and us having some engagements it’s necesssry for us to attend. But, every week i look at sales at grocery stores and if we are eating out i look for deals (happy hour, kids eat free type things). I tell my wife eating out is the single biggest waste of money within our family. We love to eat out and kinda foodie type people, so it stinks. But it’s too expensive to eat out with our whole family. Hell when we do date night it’s even more bc of drinks, desserts and everything in between.
Red Lobster, chilis, i heard a sub shop chain is closing 400 locations (Quiznos maybe?). For the price of one meal you can buy enough food for lunch for the entire week. Just not worth it anymore financially, nor is it healthy for folks.
