So that “cost” you keep mentioning has quite a bit of nuance outside of just looking at money spent (as reported by the liars in DC). The true cost, could be the domino that topples it all.

Oh the dollar concerns me way more than helping Ukraine. I find sanctions to be a very weak form of coercion. If they have any effect at all its due to the dollars power. But the move away IMHO was due to world wide inflation. We export our inflation to the world when we export out dollar. The worlds reserve currency is the dollar. China and Russia were already pushing BRICs before we smacked sanctions on Putin. I am sure world gubmints are thrilled to subsidize our SS and Medicare as our inflation wrecks their economies. Imagine how much worse it would be here if the world was NOT absorbing some of that inflation. America was sold down the toilet in 1913, again in the 30s and 40s, then the late 60s. Nixon took us off the gold standard. Clinton sold us out to the Chinese. We are not 34T dollars in debt because of Ukraine. When Ukraine wins, falls or ends in stalemate it will be but a blip in our financial picture.
I hope our fall is a slow one and we can bask in our glory. I think America can be saved but the welfare and administrative state have to be undone. I give that a slim chance. We need to pick our successor. India looks to be the best candidate. Radical Hindus give me pause. We sure as hell don't want to turn the world over to China.
Geopolitically the EU and USoA will be fine as long as we either westernize Russia or put her in a box. The former isn't happening with Putin.
As soon as we de-couple from Taiwan's tech sector, we will sell her out. It will for sure happen under a dem president.

Lost in the reporting of these bills is the fact that a lot of those dollars are going to replenish/restock our own supply of ammo and munitions which are flying out of the warehouses at a high rate of speed. If nothing else that is hugely important. Fire up the defense manufacturing lines in this country. And pray we don’t need them.
Israel has a better military than we do and I admire them but they honestly have plenty of weapons so I just am more reluctant to give them even more.
Europe is finally starting to step up their efforts to help Ukraine and that’s a benefit that Trump started pushing. They weren’t paying their dues to NATO as they had agreed. He told it like it was and I give him huge credit for that. The Germans have been sitting on their butts just taking and taking and that’s our fault for not cutting back.
Few are alive who haven’t always seen Americans protecting them so they could spend their hefty taxes on free healthcare while the vets who served over there have trouble getting VA benefits.

Survival requires weapons which requires money. I said I don't know if Trump supports this particular bill. Its funny some of those you posted are complaining that its funded until 2025.
This will hamper Trump from doing a peace deal? How? I guess if the plan is to make Ukraine surrender to Putin then maybe DJTjr is right. But hopefully Trump can negotiate from a position of strength and read Putin the riot act. One thing for sure, not aiding Ukraine now will leave Trump nothing to negotiate in 2025. They will not survive the summer without new weapons. They might not even then.

What a time to be alive.
Israel buys our fighters, tech and weapons, and they make pretty decent weapons themselves. They saddle up and ride anytime we need their help, they as dependable as our cousins across the pond.
And they have courage and love of country and people.
They are also surrounded by their enemies and when trouble finds them it's always in their neighborhoods and the the skies over their homes and businesses and synagogues.
So it's all men/women on deck. The problem is courage and love don't trump training, and faith and love of country doesn't help you against an implacable enemy that doesn't follow any sane rules. Not every person trained to shoot a rifle is a warfighter.
The military of the United States of America is a 100 percent volunteer force of highly trained professionals. Our reserves do the same training cycles as our active components just less frequently. We control the largest air and sea forces in the world and it's not even close, and our logistics and maritime shipping /prepositioning are the envy of the world.
If we won't help our allies because we're too busy fighting proxy wars with our enemies, what good are we? You can't claim to be the shining beacon of freedom if your alliances aren't worth the paper they're printed on.
Interesting little note. when they buy many of their fighter planes from up...they buy them "bare". (avionics) They develop their own to fit their mission. We shoot from far away...they shoot MUCH closer in.

I don’t completely disagree, but Trumps defense of Johnson is a little taken out of context (purposefully by Fox to help the narrative). Trump also “supports” Lindsey, but calls him out as well.
We KNOW he didn’t support this Bill, but we also KNOW pubs have a 1 vote majority in the house (even though they really don’t). The truth of where he stands on Ukraine will come IF Trump is in office. Hell, anyone that can read between the lines already knows where he stands. His current closest allies are opposed to funding, and the crafty legislation to prevent Trump from defunding Ukraine should tell you where he stands.
I agree that 1 president won’t fix this nonsense. Only thing I am hoping for…is Trump to continue exposing this nonsense. Without Trump, more folks would still be in a slumber.
Supporting Funding Ukraine at this point is quite comical and asinine.
I support funding for Ukraine Israel AND Taiwan. And many of the $$$ in these bills are going towards resupplying our ammo stockpile.
