GAINESVILLE, Fla.
- The 15th-ranked Florida softball team steps out of Southeastern Conference action for a solo midweek contest at 6 p.m. ET on SEC Network+ against North Florida at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
The Gators (28-10) come into the week after the program secured its second SEC series of the year this past weekend against Auburn. The Orange & Blue took the first two games 3-2 (8 innings) and 6-3, before it fell 7-0 in the series finale. The Ospreys (19-18) enter the week after being swept at home in Jacksonville against Liberty.

In the series against the Tigers, Skylar Wallace hit .375 (3-for-8) with four runs scored, a double and a triple, which was her seventh of the season. The seven triples by the Woodstock, Ga. native ranks fourth all-time at UF in a single season behind Cheyenne Lindsey's eight in 2022 and Kelsey Stewart's 10 in 2013 and 11 in 2015.

In just two seasons as a Gator, the dynamic athlete has belted 12 triples, which ranks tied for third all-time in Florida's record book with Amanda Lorenz (2016-'19) and Michelle Moultrie (2009-'12). Kim Waleszonia (2006-'09) ranks second all-time with 17 total triples, while Stewart (2013-'16) holds the program record with 29 triples.

Florida is 22-4 in non-conference action and its offense holds a .370 batting average and has outscored opponents 218-48. The trio of Kendra Falby (.468), Charla Echols (.464) and Skylar Wallace (.418) pace UF against non-conference opponents at the plate, while sophomore Lexie Delbrey sports a 0.50 ERA over 41 1/3 innings pitched with only three earned runs allowed.

Overall, the Gators are hitting .329 (308-for-937) as a team with Wallace (.427), Falby (.397) and Echols (.377) all batting over .350, with Reagan Walsh (.344), Pal Egan (.318), Avery Goelz (.315), Kaila Pollard and Sam Roe (.312) each batting over .300.

UF's .329 batting average, .549 slugging percentage and .437 batting average all currently rank as the third highest in program history.

The Osprey's have posted a .250 (230-for-921) batting average as a team and are led by a trio of .300-plus hitters in Shannon Glove (.356), Chloe Culp (.336) and Kayla Harper (.300). In the circle, UNF holds a 3.28 ERA with a pair of pitchers sporting 2.66 ERAs in Ashley Connor (110.2 IP) and Izzy Kelly (76.1 IP).

Following the conclusion of tomorrow's midweek, Florida will turn its sights back on SEC play as the team will host No. 12 Georgia for a three-game series. Limited tickets remain for Friday's matchup, while Saturday and Sunday's games are sold out.
