Nick Evers decommits

Mac's 1st class significant contributors:

Martez Ivey
CeCe Jefferson
A. Callaway
Tyler Jordan
Jabari Zuniga
Jordan Scarlett
Luke Ancrum
Rayshad Jackson

Memory could be bad and I am missing someone.

I’m aware of 3 NFL coaches that he is currently courting. You likely have to wait until after January 9th to bring them on when theirbseason is over.

That 2015 class turned out to be pretty bad. About 10-11 guys from that class I’m not even sure played more than a few snaps their entire career at UF. You can’t have half a class that are just complete misses/whiffs. That 2015 class has a crap load of just flat out whiffs. And the list you posted above isn’t that impressive. Not one of those guys are even on an active NFL roster.

Look at Meyer’s 2005 transition class. This is even after following Ron Zook and no ESD during that time. Just typically you don’t get much out of transition classes.

We get that. But he is acting like he is Saban and can do what he wants because you know the results will come. Their is an arrogance that is a bit concerning. And his constant use of the word “patience” is weird.

i mean yeah Billy, nobody is judging you on this class, we get it, but stuff on the field, staff and recruiting aren’t improved at this time next year, you aren’t going to like Gainesville

we just fired a guy who went to an NY6 each of his first three years. While I get their were internal problems, to think this guy can just take his sweet time has proven never to work. He’ll get a year of trash football, but if year two isn’t trending up, well we’ve seen that story plenty of times
He's an alpha. Football coaches need to be alphas. If your coach isn't an alpha, you've got a problem.

Alright this is crazy now. We just now fell down to only 7 recruits with just 3 blue chippers and #76 combined services class which is last # 14 in the SEC. I know there is some players to go for after that early signing day but we have to get this flying up the charts.

That is fact. However, when your University has accepted a commitment from a kid you need to at least make contact and not completely ignore him. If you don’t think he fits, call and explain that.

he handled it very unprofessionally and you can’t burn bridges with high school coaches. Hopefully Billy having no interest in Gibson is the correct evaluation because he just passed him off to Norvell with his inaction

I see you skipped past point 1. The thing is while it does take time, if you step back and take off the blue and orange glasses, the first 72 hours have not left a good look.

and OK, he wants a few NFL guys, but 8????

Care to guess where Lincoln Riley's staff situation sits right now?

I have no inside info on what is going on here but I do know you have to kiss the 4 and 5 stars butts usually to sign with you. Saban even does before he weeds out the ones that aren't that good after they have been there for a while. This is depressing right now if there isnt a pretty big change since we just ran off a guy that couldn't keep up in SEC recruiting.

Looks like the WR Gibson decommitted from UF today as well. Fsu is in pursuit. Transition classes are so rough man but it benefits us so much. We went through two of these....in THREE years....and people wonder why we suck.

Were you expecting us to grab a few 4 stars and a 5 star in the first 3 days since his introductory presser?

You really do have a weird idea about recruiting.

No I am expecting at least a Mac like transition class. I think Mullen's with early signing was about the same even though it ended up higher at # 14. To me if he doesn't get going it could possible mean there is some issue. A lot of time to ESD but I will act the same way I did with Mac when I thought he was struggling some early there even though Napier was my 2nd choice. Hopefully we start getting some good news the next few days with this.

Hopefully he ends up just like Fred Rouse, and after the UF-FSU matchup concludes next season, Gibson will put his arm around Coach Napier and say "I should have never decommitted."

It’s going to be painful but we have to focus on the big picture.

Whooaaa. Blast from the past. RIP Avery Atkins.

K. Moore was decent. Louis Murphy and Reggie Nelson were awesome. David Nelson was pretty good and had some clutch catches and even played in the NFL. After that nothing to call home to mama about. I was expecting big things from Boateng and Josh Portis. Both bailed out.

Yes RIP Avery Atkins. The Eraser was big time. Murphy was good. Nelson was decent. K Moore wasn’t very good. Boateng and Portis obviously didn’t last long and transferred.

Everyone is right, Urban’s transition class was hot trash.

And then there was his second class with literally handfuls of generational talent. I mean disgusting.

Yes agreed and the 2nd class was insane.

I am not down on Moore. He added depth to a strong chart of RB's. He contributed where needed. Played all 4 years and had some decent runs and returns.

True about the NFL but I don't always look that much into it. I think of how they contributed and how they helped us win games. While that regime wasn't good by any stretch of the imagination, just think of what we would not have won had we got inked those guys.

Unfortunately they weren't developed too well in college which made their NFL careers or lack of short.

He has been contacted by Oklahoma's new offensive coordinator that came from Ole Miss. Looks like he was a small part of Napier's Vision.

I understand that but the big picture based on history is most coaches

On paper it wasn't though a bunch ended up leaving.

I choose to trust CBN and his plan. If it succeeds great! If not well then we’ll cross that bridge if we get there.
