I was here before the game so I’m good per the rule, right?

Gators fans wanted Dan because of what he had done at MSU. Well, you got it. He’s turned Florida into the East version of Starkvegas. Congrats. 😎
I'd like to know who had Mullen at the top of their list to replace Mcelwain. I only remember Chip Kelly and Scott Frost being discussed during that time. Mullen was nowhere near at the top of my list in 2017.

Because Kelly and Frost would have “obviously” done better than Mullen to this point right?

sadgator loves how everybody has all of the sudden conveniently forgotten our offensive production last year (and every other year under Mullen), the fact that we played #1 twice this season, and that every single person with half a brain in their heads knew before the season that we would take a step back this year given the loss of significant offensive personal from last season….

I think I wanted Frost first but he has been cursed at Nebraska. I guess he would have flopped here or maybe the different scenery would have allowed him to succeed but all that is over now.

All I'm asking is who on this board actually and honestly had Dan Mullen on the top of their coaching list to replace McElwain? Like former Gator great Shannon Snell said, "losing to Bama was forgivable, losing to Kentucky is not."
Not only losing to Kentucky, but an extremely depleted LSU team? This is looking more like 2013 and 2017 all over again.

From the looks of what happened after the game with Pouncey as the only player to join the band, Mullen seems to have checked out Urban Meyer style(2010).

Oh, sorry @GwinnettDawg for hijacking your thread, somewhat.

I said at the time that Chip Kelly, being a big name, was my top choice, as him being the hot name would garner us attention and an immediate recruiting boost. Mullen was my second choice, I felt that he could also take us to the top, but the road would be longer and the work more of a grind because he wouldn't have the boost from that initial buzz that Kelly had. I still believe he can get us there, but he's not taking the fastest road by refusing to push Grantham out and not emphasizing recruiting more. I feel like our wheels are stuck in the mud right now and some changes have to be made to get us moving again (which puts me in line with everybody else, not breaking any new ground here).

sadgator did. Mullen was the architect of two offenses of two Gator Championship teams and has had great success as a head coach and talent developer. Not many other coaches out there have that kind of resume’. As you scream and cry for his replacement, you might want to give that some serious thought…

As for Spurrier, Zook, Meyer, Muschamp and McElwain, what do they all have in common? They never lost to Kentucky. Let that sink in, let alone losing to Kentucky twice.

We didn't just lose to kentucky,...we lost to them twice. We would have lost to them 3 times if Franks didn't get hurt.

Kentucky has become our Georgia. Georgia has become our Alabama.

BTW, speaking of Kentucky.....they just got their butt throughly whipped by Miss State. A previously 4-3 Miss State.
